WWE is all set to bring back the all-women’s Premium Live Event, Evolution. The second edition of the all-women’s show is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The show will feature five title matches featuring some of the biggest names in the promotion as well as a battle royal and a no-holds-barred match between Naomi and Jade Cargill. Ahead of the historic PLE this Sunday, let us take a look back at the first edition of the all-women’s PLE, which took place in 2018.
The first all-women’s PLE emanated from New York
The inaugural edition of Evolution took place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show featured stars from the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK brand divisions. As mentioned earlier, it was the first WWE PLE and livestreaming event to consist solely of women’s matches.
The main card included seven matches in total. Three of the four women’s championships held by WWE at the time were contested during the main show, while the remaining title was defended in a dark match prior to the broadcast. Additionally, the event showcased the final match of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament.
