Valkyria has really impressed since being moved to the WWE main roster
Lyra Valkyria is one of the newest additions to the WWE main roster and is thriving since being called up from NXT to the main roster. After being a trainee at Fight Factory Pro Wrestling for one year, Valkyria made her debut in 2015 under the ring name Valkyrie Cain.
Later, she was believed to have signed with WWE on January 20, 2020, going by the ring name Aoife Valkyrie. On January 17, 2020, Valkyrie defeated Amale in her NXT UK debut. She then defeated Isla Dawn the following night, January 18, 2020, and Amale again that night. On March 26, 2020, Valkyrie beat Nina Samuels.
She got a shot at the belt after defeating previous NXT Women’s Champions Roxanne Perez and Indi Hartwell in a triple threat offered by champion Becky Lynch on October 3. Earlier in the evening, Valkyria mentioned being inspired by Lynch’s NXT debut and the elder’s influence on Irish wrestling.
Valkyria defeated Lynch to win her first NXT Women’s Championship on Night 1 of NXT: Halloween Havoc. On the November 21 broadcast of NXT, Valkyria successfully defended her championship against Xia Li for the first time.
Main roster debut
On Night 2 of the 2024 Draft, Valkyria was elevated to the Raw brand. On the May 6 episode of Raw, Valkyria made her on-screen debut by saving Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch from being beaten down by Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane, while also defeating Kai in the first round of the Queen of the Ring tournament in her main roster in-ring debut.
She went on to overcome Zoey Stark in the quarterfinals and Iyo Sky in the semi-finals to reach the event final.
As Lyra Valkyria tries to accomplish her World Championship dream, here we take a look at Valkyria’s full list of career titles and accomplishments.
