Goldberg’s return for his ultimate battle may come sooner than imagined. Goldberg is one of the most powerful figures in professional wrestling. The WCW icon will retire from the ring in 2025. While it was expected to happen months ago, it did not occur owing to minor injury concerns.

However, with Goldberg recovering and knowing the date of his farewell match, the roots of his conflict might be sown in next week’s Monday Night Raw.

According to BodySlam.net’s Viper, Goldberg will return to WWE on the next Monday Night RAW, which will be held in the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

He wrote: “Goldberg is reportedly set to return next week on Monday Night Raw.”

Goldberg looks set to face Gunther in his final match

Following a lengthy sabbatical, the WWE Hall of Famer made his return to the Stamford-based business last year at the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event.

He was seated in the crowd when The Ring General, Gunther, called him out, resulting in the two superheavyweights nearly fighting until WWE officials intervened.

The former WWE Universal Champion recently disclosed on the Car Cast podcast that he knew when his retirement showdown would take place.

With this latest version, suspicion concerning Goldberg vs Gunther has increased. The former WCW superstar’s comeback a week after Gunther defeated Jey Uso to capture the World Heavyweight Championship might signal the start of their feud.

Furthermore, Gunther even namedropped following his championship win on the Raw Recap program.

He said, “Everyone was speculating that Seth Rollins was gonna do something with his briefcase, or that Goldberg was gonna show up to finally kick my ass. In reality, when I was world champion the first time, all those big names stayed away from me—and for good reason.”

‘Da Man’ last competed in a WWE ring at Elimination Chamber 2022, when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. The match was brief, as Reigns successfully defended his championship against the veteran.

Some of Goldberg’s recent performances have been critiqued, including his much-anticipated match versus The Undertaker, which was marred by a few in-ring blunders.

Nonetheless, Goldberg appears to be going all out for his final match. He supposedly trained hard for months and does not want to disappoint his admirers.

As the suspense grows, everyone will be watching RAW next week to see whether Goldberg will finally return to the ring and if Gunther will face off against him.
