Night of Champions features a six-match card.
WWE is all set to deliver the one and only PLE of June, Night of Champions. The 12th edition of Night of Champions is set for June 27, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The finals of the 2026 King and Queen of the Ring tournament, which kicked off after Clash in Italy, will be held at the PLE. The winner will be crowned King & Queen of the Ring and will earn a World title match at SummerSlam.
Speaking of SummerSlam, multiple matches and their outcome are going to set the stage for SummerSlam. So here’s a look at the top five major storylines heading into WWE Night of Champions.
5. The Vision vortex
The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory attacked Seth Rollins, ruining his chances in the King of the Ring tournament and making it clear that Rollins is not going to put the faction in his rear-view mirror and focus on regaining the title. While WWE has introduced the Street Profits into the storyline, a string of injuries has hampered multiple plans and killed the momentum.
Despite many fans believing the storyline had concluded after Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker’s previous encounter, WWE has chosen to continue the feud. As a result, fans are now wondering whether the promotion can keep the rivalry compelling and deliver a memorable payoff, or if the match is simply being added to fill out the Night of Champions card.
4. QOTR & WWE Women’s title

Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan will battle in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Liv, who already holds the Women’s World title, is aiming to win the tournament and challenge Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley to try and become a double champion.
Reports of Rhea’s knee injury leading to major creative changes have left many thinking that Liv is likely not going to win the semi-final, and Charlotte Flair would have likely faced Iyo in the finals. However, Liv has defeated Flair and now battles Iyo in the finals. The outcome of the tournament is going to shape up both women’s rosters on Raw and SmackDown.
3. KOTR & Bloodline drama

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso entered the King of the Ring tournament with the goal to win it and challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed title, an idea proposed by ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns.
Reigns has also been sending Jacob Fatu to convince Solo Sikoa to rejoin the Bloodline. All that Bloodline drama and the underlying tensions, especially between Fatu and the Usos, are likely going to unravel leading into SummerSlam, and Reigns could end up fighting one of them.
2. Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar 3

The man Jey Uso is going to face in the finals is Oba Femi, who bounced back after a devastating loss to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy. Femi did demand a rubber match to settle the score with Lesnar, but right now, he is focusing on winning the 2026 King of the Ring tournament.
However, many fans have predicted Lesnar’s return at the PLE and cost Oba the match, or at the very least attack him afterwards to set up a third showdown at SummerSlam, which will be held in Minneapolis, a town that Brock has been closely linked to.
1. New Undisputed champion or a WrestleMania rematch?

Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes will defend the title in a triple threat match against Gunther and Sami Zayn. The three have been engaging in a back-and-forth feud that came to a massive turning point during the title rematch between Cody and Gunther, where Sami was the special guest referee.
Fans are wondering if Gunther is going to finally capture the Undisputed title or if Sami manages to win his first World title and realize his lifelong dream. However, the return of Randy Orton could alter things as the Viper, who has been absent since WrestleMania 42, has himself confirmed that he is not injured.
If Orton returns at Night of Champions, then Cody is likely going to retain and set up the Mania rematch as Orton’s quest for the 15th title continues.
