Brock Lesnar manhandled John Cena to pick up his first win in his in-ring return!

In the 31st appearance of his retirement tour, 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena, as announced, made his first and only in-ring appearance at the inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE. He locked horns with Brock Lesnar in the first match of the PLE.

While Cena did manage to mount some offense and hit three back-to-back AAs, Lesnar managed to kick out at two and then mount a devastating offense, hitting five F5s to pin Cena and win the match. This was his first in-ring appearance since the SummerSlam 2023 loss to Cody Rhodes.

Since then, Lesnar has once again been absent from WWE programming and has missed both the fallout shows of Raw and SmackDown. Meanwhile, a new report has shed some light on WWE’s plans for the Beast Incarnate following the dominant showing last weekend.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE has no plans to include Brock Lesnar regularly on Raw or SmackDown in the near future. “Those we spoke to said that he’s off television for a while,” the report further noted that the approach is in line with Brock’s usual part-time schedule.

The report adds that WWE plans to use Lesnar sparingly, positioning him as a major-event attraction rather than a regular presence on Raw or SmackDown.

The company has already outlined its involvement through 2026, with Lesnar tentatively scheduled for WWE’s two biggest events early next year, the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Reports state that WWE’s creative team is operating on the assumption that Lesnar will have a significant role at both events, unless notified otherwise. His continued prominence is clear, as he is already featured on the official poster for WrestleMania 42, reinforcing WWE’s commitment to promoting him as a marquee star despite previous controversies.

Bron Breakker is being discussed as Brock Lesnar’s opponent for WrestleMania 42

According to Bodyslam.net, Bron Breakker is being discussed internally as a potential opponent for Lesnar at next year’s WrestleMania 42.

A potential storyline between Lesnar and Breakker would create a blockbuster match and would further position Breakker as one of WWE’s next major stars. The matchup becomes even more captivating as Lesnar’s longtime advocate, Paul Heyman, is currently managing The Vision, a faction that includes Breakker. Heyman’s involvement in the storyline would add an extra layer of intrigue to this potential clash.

When is Brock Lesnar’s next WWE appearance?

WWE has not confirmed the exact date of Brock Lesnar’s next appearance. A report from Fightful stated that WWE has no plans to use Lesnar sparingly, positioning him as a major-event attraction rather than a regular presence on Raw or SmackDown.

Will Brock Lesnar be featured in WrestleMania 42?

Yes, Lesnar is already featured on the official poster for WrestleMania 42. Reports also suggest a potential clash against Bron Breakker at the ‘Grandest Stage’.
