The March 21 episode of SmackDown aired from Bologna, Italy!

The Stamford-based promotion arrived in Bologna, Italy this week to deliver the 03/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated live from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

The show kicked off with the arrival of Randy Orton whose segment was interrupted by Kevin Owens who tried to hash the beef and team up with Orton ahead of WrestleMania. However, Orton turned down the offer and floated the idea of a clash between the two for Mania, which was later made official.

In the first match of the show, Damian Priest and Jimmy Uso defeated the team of Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura while Braun Strowman vs Jacob Fatu ended in DQ as Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga attacked, Storwman won via DQ.

Piper Niven defeated Zelina Vega, halting her hopes to challenge Chelsea Green for the Women’s United States title while Liv Morgan pinned Jade Cargill due to an outside interference from Naomi who attacked Cargill after the match.

In an impromptu match, the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) defeated Los Garzas (Angel & Berto). Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & CM Punk ended the show with a brawl, with three stars pointing towards the WrestleMania sign it seems like we’re getting a triple-threat clash at the grandest stage.

During the 03/21 show, the promotion announced matches for the next week’s show which is set to emanate from London. The 03/28 episode of SmackDown is set to emanate live from the iconic O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

After winning the match against Jacob Fatu, Strowman bagged the number one contender spot for the United States title and will now battle the champion LA Knight on next week’s show.

On the other hand, the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) will defend the titles against the number one contenders Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince). Pretty Deadly defeated Los Garzas (Angel & Berto) on the March 07 episode to bag the number one contender spot.

A contract signing between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins has been announced for the show, as the three stars will sign the agreement for their triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41. This was announced by CM Punk during his appearance on the 03/24 episode of Raw in Glasgow, Scotland.
