Top four WWE matches for Shawn Michaels if he comes out of retirement

WWE has seen many but none like the Heart Break Kid
Shawn Michaels is considered one of the best WWE Superstars of all time. He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, has headlined WrestleMania, and is a former world champion. When it comes to in-ring work, he’s on the short list of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
The Heartbreak Kid hasn’t wrestled in over a decade and a half. He resurfaced for one catastrophic tag team fight in Saudi Arabia many years ago, but he has since respected his in-ring retirement.
Regardless, The Heartbreak Kid appears to have some petrol left in the tank. Shawn, the former Fandango, indicated that he believes he still has a match or two in him. Needless to say, this is significant news for WWE fans.
Naturally, this presents a serious question. If Shawn Michaels came out of retirement, who would he face? This article will look at four major personalities that might be feasible opponents for ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ if he returns for one or two matches in the future.
4. Jacob Fatu
To say Jacob Fatu is an incredible wrestler is underselling his talent. He possesses strength, speed and agility that few can equal. Above all things, the Samoan Werewolf exudes an aura. He is unexpected and a true wildcard, which distinguishes him from even the biggest stars.
The Samoan Werewolf is beginning his rise up the WWE roster. He appears to be preparing for a rivalry with Solo Sikoa and has made it plain that he wants Cody Rhodes’ world championship. Fatu also mercilessly demolished Braun Strowman at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
While Roman Reigns, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens would make excellent opponents for Michaels, the fact is that all three are already made men. They don’t need a match against Michaels. Fatu, on the other hand, would be an immediate success if he faced The Heartbreak Kid one-on-one. Defeating Shawn would be much more significant for The Samoan Werewolf.
3. AJ Styles
AJ Styles is a terrific ring performer. While many people feel Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler of all time, others say AJ Styles is the finest of his age. Prior to joining WWE, he had a successful international career.
The Phenomenal One just returned to WWE television after sustaining an injury. He has recently defeated Dominik Mysterio in a singles bout and appears to be preparing for a big battle against Bron Breakker.
For many years, AJ Styles vs. Shawn Michaels was considered a dream match. When AJ was a prominent talent in TNA Wrestling, fans anticipated the two would one day face off. While it never transpired, there is always a potential the two might face off if Shawn returns from retirement.
2. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is another great wrestler. While he is capable of producing excellent technique, his finest performance in and outside of WWE has been in crazy brawls. Still, the former world champion is capable of doing it all.
The Prizefighter and Shawn Michaels recently interacted. Shawn moderated a contract signing between Owens and Cody Rhodes at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Owens belittled Shawn and eventually ate a Superkick for his troubles.
This may be an ideal setup for a bout between Shawn Michaels and Kevin Owens. The Heartbreak Kid vs The Prizefighter looks excellent as a billboard or poster. The two would also do spectacular portions.
1. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is perhaps the biggest star in professional wrestling today. While Roman is not a full-time wrestler, he is a strong force to be reckoned with whenever he appears on WWE television. Fans pay to see The Tribal Chief, and they always watch him on television.
Seth Rollins has rendered the Tribal Chief ineffective. After both men were eliminated from the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, Rollins pounded Roman with a series of vicious Stomps, including one on the steel steps. He has been AWOL from WWE ever since.
Reigns would be an ideal opponent for Michaels. Both guys like stories over action, so their approaches complement each other nicely. Aside from that, Shawn’s comeback bout would receive the most attention because Reigns is such a famous name. Nothing would be more significant for Michaels than a fight with Roman.
