The Original Tribal Chief is confirmed for the event

Roman Reigns’ presence in the poster for the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE slated to take place in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis has all but confirmed his participation in the event.

The Original Tribal Chief is currently embroiled in a Bloodline Civil War, what’s to say that he wouldn’t be occupied with it come January?

Or will he vie for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship? Could Reigns mark the start of the John Cena retirement tour?

Or even better, would he join the 30-man-over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match? Here, we take a look at the top five matches Roman Reigns can have at WWE Royal Rumble 2025.

5. Jacob Fatu

This clash has an air of inevitability about it. The kind of stellar impact that Jacob Fatu has had ever since his debut in WWE, warrants that he comes up against one of the best products of his clan, Roman Reigns.

The possibility of this potential match depends upon what twist the Bloodline saga takes by the end of this year. If everything aligns perfectly, pitting Reigns against Fatu could be an excellent booking choice on the part of the Stamford-based promotion.

The latter has been unstoppable ever since joining the wrestling juggernaut, and it will be an intriguing site for the fans to see him coming up against his illustrious cousin, at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE.

4. Solo Sikoa

Another potential battle between the cousins, many would say this has been imminent for a long time. Roman Reigns has seen Solo Sikoa‘s main roster career grow from strength to strength over the course of two years. Not only that, but Sikoa’s hijacking of The Original Tribal Chief’s Bloodline stable has ensured that these two Anoa’i family members surely lock horns in a one-on-one showdown somewhere down the line. The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE could be that event when Reigns and Sikoa fight it out for the right to be called ‘The Tribal Chief’.

3. Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes‘ epic WrestleMania XL win over Reigns will go down as one of the most significant moments in WWE’s history. It’s not a mean feat to end a 1316-day championship reign but surprisingly there hasn’t been a rematch for the title.

The OTC isn’t one to forget his past tussles, and this one would be a little too personal for him to let go. It feels like the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE could be an ideal place for Reigns to finally get that rematch for his Undisputed WWE Universal championship.

With either one of ‘The American Nightmare’ and The Head of The Table on a supposed collision course with The Rock at WrestleMania XLI, the Lucas Oil Stadium could bear witness to this magnificent duel.

2. John Cena

John Cena has announced that he will embark on a retirement tour all throughout 2025. The first stop for his retirement express would be at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he engages with Roman Reigns for one last time on this very night. Of course, the Anoa’i family member would have to be done with the Bloodline saga by then, which does feel like a tall order.

1. The Royal Rumble Match

Roman Reigns has always been a man who has earned his stripes. Even though he is owed a rematch for the undisputed WWE Universal championship, he could take a long route to get to his ultimate destination.

Meaning, that Roman Reigns could enter the 30-man Royal Rumble match to fight for an opportunity to main event WrestleMania for a record 10th time. Given his extraordinary heroics, the fans wouldn’t put past him to win his second Rumble match and headline Mania again.

Irrespective of what match Roman Reigns features in the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE, it’s a piece of major news that he would dazzle the audience with his presence on the special night. Wrestling faithful would be gushing about the Original Tribal Chief’s participation in yet another major event.
