WWE SummerSlam 2024 is stacked up with some big matches

WWE is all set to host the 2024 SummerSlam PLE on August 3, 2024, from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. This is one of the biggest and longest-running annual events of the company. WWE has booked a total of seven matches for the show.

However backstage reports suggest that WWE could still add more matches to the show. Here we take a look at the report and a brief speculation of potential matches WWE could book for the PLE in the final moments.

New matches to be added for WWE SummerSlam 2024

Fightful Select in their recent report announced that they have heard from the sources that WWE could add some additions or alterations to the match card.

Fightful reports,

“One WWE source told Fightful Select to not be surprised to see some additions or alterations to the Summerslam card as right now the show features seven singles matches without additional stipulations.”

Here we take a look at three of the potential matches WWE could add for the SummerSlam 2024 match card

3. World Tag Team Championship Match- The Judgment Day vs Awesome Truth

Awesome Truth lost their World Tag Team Championship against The Judgment Day with interference from Liv Morgan. However, they didn’t get their rematch for the title since then. At that time, Truth laid out a plan to recapture the title in Miz’s hometown, but they haven’t taken any steps. Since Miz is the host of SummerSlam, he could announce a World Tag Team Championship rematch against Judgment Day at the last minute on the PLE. 

2. Bianca Belair vs Jade Cargill

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill will be facing Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match on the last episode of SmackDown before SummerSlam. There are a lot of rumors about the potential split in the tag team if they fail to recapture the title. With these being rumored, the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could add Belair vs Cargill for the SummerSlam PLE on SmackDown.

1. WWE Tag Team Championship Match- DIY vs The Bloodline vs Randy Orton & Kevin Owens

DIY are set to defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against The Bloodline on the last episode of SmackDown before SummerSlam 2024. As Bloodline took Randy Orton & Kevin Owens out of the Television on the road to SummerSlam, they could probably interfere during the match and could end the match with a disqualification. At this stage, there is a huge chance that the match could be announced as a Triple Threat Match at the SummerSlam PLE
