Former WWE stars Rusev & Lana (Miro & CJ Perry) split after seven years of marriage

The professional wrestling industry has witnessed a number of couples and loved ones, who had worked their chemistry both on and off screen to tie knots. One such beautiful couple were Miro & CJ Perry, who were popularly known as Rusev and Lana in WWE. The power couple worked for WWE for more than half a decade and has been a part of a number of storylines and gimmicks.
They mimicked Russian wrestlers & managers and wrestled for the initial years. However, both fell in love and got married in 2016. They worked together for so long as one against each other, which earned both pop and embarrassing comments.
However, during the budget cut, WWE released Rusev and Lana slowly ended her journey with WWE. After a few months, both joined AEW under their real name Miro & CJ Perry and had both on-screen and off-screen pairing. However Perry has now revealed that their relationship has come to an end.
CJ Perry & Miro got separated
CJ Perry (fka Lana) recently appeared for an interview with TMZ Sports, where Perry revealed that she and Miro (fka Rusev) took a difficult decision of separation after seven-years of marriage. They mutually agreed to move on as friends and hopefully would work on-screen.
Perry said,
“Miro and I have made the difficult decision to separate after many wonderful years together, and have decided to move on as friends, and hopefully onscreen characters somewhere down the road.”
TMZ noted that the separation was not an outcome of any sudden acts, but they have been falling apart over the years.
Perry & Miro last appeared on AEW television at AEW World’s End in December 2023, where Perry stood against Miro as the manager of Andrade El Idolo. However, she dumped Andrade and joined hands with Miro to help him win the match.
