Since their impressive victory over Damage CTRL at Backlash France, Belair and Cargill have been unstoppable, recently overcoming Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell to further solidify their dominance.
Fire and Dawn were eagerly awaiting for this title shot, and their excitement to compete in their homeland of Scotland was palpable. Fire and Dawn gave a tough challenge to the former WWE tag team champions in this match and won a memorable victory in front of their home crowd. Baszler and Stark together made this match even more special, due to which the excitement of this match doubled.
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn were the first to make their way to the ring. Many Scottish fans were seen cheering for Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn who is one of the native WWE superstars on the WWE card. Then came Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark. At last, came the team of Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
Shayna, Isla, and Bianca started the match. But, Belair could be seen dominating the match from the start. As, Isla tried to attack Belair from behind her athleticism helped her control the momentum. Then Belair tagged Jade Cargill. As the opponents started attacking Cargill together Cargill started powering both of them out of their hold. Cargill first took out Stark then Fyre. Cargill hit Stark and Fyre in a combination attack involving a Samoan Drop and Fall-away slam.
Cargill and Belair continued to dominate the match with their strength. Both the teams later joined hands to take out the tag team of Belair and Cargill. Both teams started taking down the tag team champs.
Later Stark and Baszler started getting the momentum with the tag team champs down. But, Scottish superstars weren’t going to get done this easily. As they fired up and started attacking Stark and Baszler. But, as Fyre went for a pin Belair somehow broke the count.
Every woman was on the floor other than Jade Cargill. Belair somehow found the strength and tagged Cargill. But, Cargill with her strength dominated but Shayna caught Cargill in a Kirfuda Clutch but Belair saved the match. With both women inside the ring Belair and Cargill performed a double team, but Isla Dawn took that opportunity to take Jade Cargill out of the picture pinning Shayna Baszler to become the new WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champion.
