WWE is monitoring the situation in the Middle East.

WWE President Nick Khan, during a TKO town hall on Monday, told staff members that the company is actively monitoring the situation in the Middle East, with the 2026 edition of Night of Champions scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 27.

This, according to the audio obtained of the internal call by Post Wrestling, which also reveals that Khan noted that the promotion will only host the Night of Champions PLE in the country and would not hold the surrounding Raw and SmackDown episodes.

The promotion usually hosts the go-home show of SmackDown and the fallout edition of Raw in the same area of the PLE and has done the same for past Saudi events. That said, locations for June 26 SmackDown and 29 Raw have not been announced.

“We’re only going if it’s safe or if we’re allowed there, We are monitoring with our heads of security internally and with our government affairs folks externally, the situation there, If U.S. citizens are allowed in at this moment in time, it is declared and deemed safe, we’ll all be going there.”

Khan also added that the country is waiting for WWE‘s return and getting the events restarted, especially in the United States. The ongoing war involving Iran, the U.S., Israel, and Lebanon in the region has sparked security concerns for holding events in the region.

“Saudi is deeply desirous of getting WWE back there and getting events restarted, especially those that come from the United States,” Khan added.

Nick Khan dropped a tease for WrestleMania 2028

During the discussion, Khan also appeared to recognize the problems of hosting WrestleMania in the same city for two consecutive years, a factor that may have led to reduced attendance at this year’s events. However, he noted that the 2026 edition ended up being a successful event.

“That was ultimately my decision, Maybe we don’t do that one again in terms of back-to-back, but ultimately it ended up being a successful event.”

Additionally, Khan also suggested that WWE already has significant long-term plans in place for WrestleMania and urged the staff to wait for the location announcement for WrestleMania 2028.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028,”

Did Nick Khan reveal the WrestleMania 2028 location?

No, during a TKO Town Hall, Khan only teased the staff about the location announcement for the 44th edition of Mania.

Is WWE going to Saudi Arabia despite the ongoing conflict?

As per Nick Khan, the promotion is actively monitoring the situation and will only go if it’s safe and they’re allowed.
