Nikki Bella has made her long-awaited comeback to WWE this year, but fans have been equally curious about whether her twin sister, Brie Bella, will follow in her footsteps.

Since Nikki’s return at the Royal Rumble after a three-year hiatus, the WWE Universe has been buzzing about the possibility of a full Bella Twins reunion.

Speaking exclusively ahead of her Women’s Intercontinental Championship match at Clash in Paris, Nikki gave an honest update on Brie’s situation and what may be keeping her from rejoining the company.

Nikki admitted that she constantly tries to convince her sister to return, while also acknowledging the complicated business dynamics in play.

“I keep pushing it. All the women want her back and they keep asking me every week has that decision changed,” Nikki revealed. “I don’t think legacies should be determined on spouses, but I also understand business.”

Brie has previously been vocal about how her husband, Bryan Danielson, and his contract with AEW has created a hurdle for her WWE return. However, Nikki hinted that the door might not be closed forever.

“I do think [WWE is] becoming more and more open to it. I understand it takes time and we just have to figure things out. There’s so much business to figure out, and Brie and I both completely understand that.”

Bella Twins eye WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

The Bella Twins were one of the most dominant female duos of the modern WWE era, but they never had the chance to compete for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, which were introduced in 2019. Nikki expressed her hope that this could finally change if Brie returns.

“Before this run is done, I truly hope to be with Brie going after the tag titles and just having that opportunity to be tag team champions,” Nikki said. “Honestly, I wanna have that moment to go back and be a heel with her. Being a villain and causing chaos, doing what the Bellas do best.”

She also reminded fans of their legacy, adding, “The revolution didn’t happen without Team Bella. We literally are a built-in tag team and have been that since day one. So, I do hope at some point we see Brie back in that ring and us fighting for those tag championships.”

Whether it happens sooner or later, WWE fans will be hoping that Nikki and Brie can share the ring once again before Nikki’s current run comes to a close.
