WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 saw Nia Jax demolishing Michin
WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 has ended, with Gunther and Cody Rhodes successfully retaining their titles in Germany. Although the women’s championships were not defended at the event, Triple H ensured that the German audience got to see the women’s championship being defended on SmackDown the night before.
Nia Jax successfully defended her title in the main event of SmackDown, defeating Michin in a no-disqualification match.
Her second run in the WWE has been quite entertaining, as she is once again a women’s champion, but this time, people acknowledge that she deserves it.
She has drastically improved both on the microphone and in the ring, shutting her critics who questioned her limited abilities in the ring. However, now that Bash in Berlin is done and dusted, let’s look at the women next in line for a shot at the belt.
Bayley
Bayley interfered in Nia Jax’s last title defense against Michin, but she was more focused on taking out Tiffany Stratton. However, let’s not forget that Bayley only lost her title at SummerSlam to Nia Jax, and she still has her rematch clause in place.
She might just want to have that match at WWE’s next premium live event, Bad Blood, which is making a comeback after a long time.
Chelsea Green
Chelsea Green and Piper Niven are constantly involved in entertaining backstage segments, where we can see that Chelsea Green is trying to drive a wedge between Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton’s bond by constantly implying that Tiffany will soon betray Nia Jax.
Now, we all know that it will eventually end up happening, but not at this time. It will happen right in time to set up the WrestleMania match between the two.
However, as of now, Chelsea Green’s antics might piss Nia Jax off, eventually setting her up as the next one in line to face Nia Jax for the championship.
Piper Niven
No matter how much you criticize Piper Niven for her lack of personality, her credibility is still preserved as her presentation has always been intimidating.
In certain ways, she has a lot of similarities with the current women’s champion, Nia Jax, and since she is just as much involved in those backstage segments where slowly the seeds for the eventual breakup are being planted. There is a good chance that she might be the one facing Nia Jax for her championship next.
Also, on paper, she is a good match for Nia Jax, as her credibility as an intimidating force has still somewhat been preserved.
Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been out of action for the past eight months. The last time she was seen inside the ring was in December 2023, when she was competing against Asuka and tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the match.
However, according to the latest reports, she is okay now and might make her return soon. Now, she has been away for a while, but come on, she’s a Flair, and when she’s coming back, she’s definitely coming for the gold.
Also, since she has been away for so long, I’m sure nobody is going to complain if she’s the one Nia Jax faces next for the championship.
However, it’s still less likely for her to return on a random episode of SmackDown to challenge Nia Jax for the title after being away for so long, especially because Nia Jax is already part of a storyline with Tiffany Stratton.
