Top three opponents Stephanie Vaquer can face for vacant Women's World title at WWE Wrestlepalooza

Stephanie Vaquer was set to battle Naomi for the title at Clash in Paris!

Former NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer was originally set to face Naomi for the Women’s World title after winning in the 20-woman battle royal at Evolution 2025. However, Naomi announced her pregnancy last week and vacated the title, putting the title clash in jeopardy.

In a backstage segment on the August 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, GM Adam Pearce informed Stephanie Vaquer that she was still the #1 Contender for the Women’s Championship and that he would find an opponent for her. However, he revealed that the match would not take place at Clash in Paris.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Vaquer vs TBD women’s world title match may be postponed for the major Wrestlepalooza event. Postponing the match would make sense for the returning PLE, as there would be ample time to build anticipation for such a massive showdown.

While Pearce didn’t mention any names and the report doesn’t suggest any, let’s take a look at the top three potential opponents who could face Vaquer for the vacant World title at Wrestlepalooza.

3. Bianca Belair

The dynamic between Naomi and Bianca Belair has been very shaky since it was revealed that Naomi attacked Belair’s tag partner and replaced her. However, WWE was forced not to further build the storyline except for two clashes between Cargill and Naomi, as Belair suffered an injury during WrestleMania 41.

Belair has been out of action since Mania, except few scattered appearances, including at Evolution as the special guest referee for the clash between Naomi and Jade. Belair can make her return ahead of the September PLE to battle for the title. If Belair wins the title, it would open the door to reignite and develop their feud once Naomi returns.

2. Rhea Ripley

‘Mami’ Rhea Ripley is a no-brainer for this list. As one of the biggest superstars in WWE, she not only deserves to be in the title picture but would also bring immense value to the match. Rhea has been unable to regain the title since losing it at the hands of Iyo Sky before WrestleMania 41.

Ripley could separate herself from the Iyo Sky – Asuka drama and focus on getting the title shot to reclaim the glory. Rhea vs Vaquer would also be an intriguing matchup for fans who would love the two stars to lock horns at the September PLE.

1. Iyo Sky

Iyo Sky was already scheduled to face Naomi for the World title on the August 11 show. However, Naomi was not medically cleared to compete, and fans got to know the reason on the August 18 show. Like Vaquer, Sky is the frontrunner when it comes to deserving candidates and should get the promised title shot.

Sky could demand that General Manager Adam Pearce give her the title rematch and could accept facing Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant title at Wrestlepalooza. Sky winning the title can also be used in her ongoing storyline with Asuka and would give the latter another reason to turn on Iyo.
