Top three possible finish for Sami Zayn vs Ilja Dragunov’s Intercontinental Championship match on Raw (July 15, 2024)

Sami Zayn vs Ilja Dragunov was announced for this week’s Raw with the IC title on the line!

The storyline surrounding the Intercontinental Championship has been causing tensions in the Raw brand. Sami Zayn tried to move on from Bron Breakker after defeating him at Money in the Bank PLE, but Brekker attacked him to continue the feud.

Dragunov came to save Sami and eventually got involved in the feud with Breakker. This resulted in a match between Breakker & Dragunov, where Breakker attacked Dragunov and Sami again, who came to save Ilja.

After last week’s chaos between Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker & Ilja Dragunov, WWE has officially announced the Intercontinental Championship match between Zayn & Dragunov for this week’s WWE Raw. With just hours away from the title defense, here we came out with three possible finishes for their match.

3. Ilja Dragunov becomes the new IC Champion

Ilja Dragunov has been having one of the most impressive rookie years to date. This is the first championship match for Dragunov on the main roster, however, he has proven himself as a champion in NXT. Dragunov could be a tough competitor for Zayn, who can push Zayn to the limit and win the IC title cleanly. There is also a chance that Breakker could cost Sami’s title by attacking Zayn, while the referee is distracted. This could set the stage for Ilja to defeat Sami and win the IC championship.

2. Sami Zayn retains clean

Sami has been doing miracles, ever since getting into the Intercontinental Championship spotlight. He has overpowered all the opponents who step in front of him and has been proving himself as a better champ. With the same courage and toughness inside the ring, Sami could defeat Dragunov cleanly to retain his Intercontinental Championship title, with or without Bron Breakker’s interference.

1. Bron Breakker attacks Ilja Dragunov

Bron Breakker could attack Dragunov during the match, where Dragunov will win the match, but the championship will remain in the hands of Sami Zayn. As Dragunov has a win over Sami, WWE can book a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental Championship involving Zayn, Dragunov & Breakker.
