Some exciting developments can happen on WWE SmackDown this week.
WWE SmackDown is headed to the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for its May 1 edition of the show. The event will see an influx of talent from NXT, who are the newest additions to the blue brand.
At the same time, only one singles match has been announced for the show. With a new shift in landscape following the WrestleMania season, here are five possible spoilers for WWE SmackDown tonight.
5. Blake Monroe targets the new champion

As announced during last week’s broadcast, NXT star Blake Monroe will arrive on SmackDown tonight. After a remarkable stint in NXT, she is likely to get a major push on the main roster.
This could begin as soon as this week, with Monroe confronting the new WWE Women’s US Champion, Tiffany Stratton, and immediately starting a title program with her.

4. Ricky Saints’ debut match

Another top star arriving from NXT to SmackDown this week is Ricky Saints. The Absolute One also had a successful tenure, which led to his call-up. With huge things likely planned for Saints, it is expected that he will win his debut match on SmackDown tonight.
3. Rhea Ripley aligns with new allies to take down the NXT faction
Former NXT faction, Fatal Influence, comprising Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley, made their debut on SmackDown last week and took down several of the top stars.
This week, Jayne is set to face Charlotte Flair in a singles match. This could see Fatal Influence get involved, leading to Flair and her partner, Alexa Bliss, joining forces with another one of their victims, Rhea Ripley, and sparking a feud between both sides.
2. Paige and Brie Bella’s first title defense

Last week on SmackDown, new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige and Brie Bella, had their match interrupted by Fatal Influence. They could restart their reign as champions this week on the blue show and possibly have their first title match on tonight’s show.
1. World title match made official for WWE Backlash

The ending of WrestleMania 42 Night 1 main event saw Randy Orton punt-kick Cody Rhodes, hinting that their rivalry was not over. A series of events could possibly lead to Orton and Rhodes being scheduled for a rematch for the Undisputed WWE title at the next Premium Live Event, i.e., WWE Backlash.
