Two final first-round matches are set for SmackDown in Denver.
Tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown will air live from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, and the lineup is stacked. Stars such as Carmelo Hayes, Penta, Chelsea Green, Finn Bálor, Bronson Reed, and others are scheduled to appear.
With Survivor Series just days away, the episode is expected to ramp up the build toward the event, including likely finalizing the teams for the women’s WarGames match. WWE has also revealed several matches and segments for the night. In addition, the tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent will continue with the last two first-round bouts.
Additionally, the show will also feature a tag team match, along with Chelsea Green’s US title celebration. Let’s take a look at the top four spoilers for this week’s show of WWE SmackDown.
4. Tomasso Ciampa attacks the US Champion
United States Champion Ilja Dragunov has continued the tradition of Open Challenges. However, for the past two weeks, he has denied giving the title shot to #DIY’s Tomasso Ciampa, despite the latter answering the open challenge.
Dragunov has even continued to mock Ciampa, calling him “jackass” over and over. Ciampa might decide to react with force and could attack Dragunov tonight as he did Axiom last week after the US title match.

3. Carmelo Hayes wins

During last week’s show, General Manager Nick Aldis announced two more first-round matches in the ‘Last Time Is Now Tournament’ to decide John Cena’s final opponent, the final two first-round matches. One of the two matches set for tonight is between Carmelo Hayes and Bronson Reed.
With Reed’s involvement in the men’s WarGames match, it seems like Hayes will likely win tonight and advance in the tournament. The WarGames drama might unfold during the match, giving Hayes the opportunity to secure the win.
2. Michin confronts Jade Cargill
After winning the title, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill faced B-Fab last week in a non-title match. After the match, Cargill got into a heated face-off with Michin, who was checking on B-Fab. Cargill even pushed her away, causing the referee to step in and separate the two.
Michin is likely going to confront the Champion, leading to a match between the two. It remains to be seen if WWE has real plans for the two or if this is just going to be a squash match.
1. Charlotte Flair joins Ripley & Co.
During last week’s show, Charlotte Flair, citing her differences with Rhea Ripley, walked out of the team, which is set to take on the team of Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane). The search for one remaining teammate turned into two for Ripley’s team.
On this week’s Raw, when the opposing team attacked Bliss and company, Flair stepped in to make the save. She now faces a decision about whether to rejoin the team for WarGames. Flair will likely align with Ripley and company tonight to advance the storyline, before AJ Lee and Becky Lynch join their respective teams, likely on next week’s Raw.
