Top three possible tag team matches for Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker at WWE Backlash 2025

The Trifecta of Terror is on a mission to shake up the hierarchy!

At WrestleMania 41 on April 19, Paul Heyman shocked the world by betraying CM Punk during the triple-threat main event involving Punk and Seth Rollins, but the surprises didn’t stop there. Heyman also then turned on his ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns, landing a low blow, to align himself with Seth Rollins as fans watched in disbelief.

However, Heyman had another trick up his sleeve, which he revealed on Raw after WrestleMania, where Bron Breakker was revealed to be the third member of the ‘Trifecta of Terror’ faction. While the faction appears unstoppable with Paul Heyman in their corner, there are still a few challengers who could pose a serious threat.

Here we take a look at the top three potential tag team matches for Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker at the upcoming WWE Backlash 2025. The 2025 edition of the PLE will take place on Saturday, May 10, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. 

3. The Judgment Day

Judgment Day’s leader, Finn Bálor, has been struggling lately, dealing with multiple losses, a lack of control over his stablemates, and being out of the loop on key developments within the faction.

However, since the return of JD McDonagh, Balor can revive the tag team and challenge Rollins and Breakker for a tag team clash at Backlash. A win would help him regain his footing against such a dominant duo.

2. Sami Zayn & Jimmy Uso

Sami Zayn paid the ultimate price for turning down Rollins’ offer this week on Monday Night Raw as he refused to take the easy way out and move to SmackDown. The beatdown was not just symbolic but also marked the end of Zayn and Rollins’ friendship.

While Jey Uso is occupied with Logan Paul after winning the World Heavyweight title, Jimmy Uso on the other hand, is available and both the Usos will be ready in a heartbeat to team up with Zayn. A tag team clash against the Trifecta of Terror might give Zayn a chance for redemption.

1. Roman Reigns & CM Punk

The promotion has already teased this tag team as both Reigns and Punk were betrayed by the same man who now stands side by side with the man who they share a mutual hatred for.

Roman Reigns and CM Punk might just set aside their differences to team up and take down Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker to ultimately get their hands on Paul Heyman at Backlash next week.
