‘The Beast’ has been out of action since SummerSlam 2023

‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE for a long time. The former Multi-time World Champion last fought Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.

Lesnar is a multi-sports champion with titles in the UFC, WWE, and an NCAA Division I national championship. During this absence, there have been speculations of his return.

This speculation was fueled after the former champion was mentioned twice on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. These references primarily included The former WWE Champion’s nicknames.

On a recent edition of a Backstage Pass Q&A, Bill Apter hinted that the WWE is planning to bring back Brock Lesnar. He was due to return as an entrant in the 2024, Royal Rumble. However, the return never materialized.

Let us now look at four potential matches for Lesnar upon his return to action in the WWE ring.

4. Brock Lesnar vs Dominik Mysterio

Lesnar was originally planned to be in the men’s Rumble match on January 27 as per reports. During the Royal Rumble 2024, ‘Dirty Dom’ Dominik Mysterio eliminated Bron Breakker which means the original plan for Mysterio was to eliminate The Beast Incarnate.

This would have led to a firefight between Dominik Mysterio and Lesnar and as per reports, the WWE was planning to book a fight between Dominik and Lesnar for after the Rumble.

Lesnar has also attacked Dominik and his father and WWE legend Rey Mysterio in 2019 before Dominik’s debut. The promotion could book a fight using this angle between Dirty Dom and Lesnar upon the return of the former WWE and UFC Champion.

3. Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk

Lesnar and CM Punk are two of the biggest names in the pro wrestling world with each leaving a significant mark in WWE. The two titans faced each other at Summer Slam 2013.

Lesnar faced ‘The Best in the World’ CM Punk in a no-disqualification match on August 18, 2013, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The Beast executed an F-5 onto a chair in the finishing sequence for the victory against The Best in the World.

Punk made his highly anticipated return to WWE after almost a decade of absence at Survivor Series WarGames 2023. Amid reports of Lesnar’s return, a potential fight between the two would be an absolute treat for the fans.

2. Brock Lesnar vs Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker has been running through his opponent as a freight train since his debut in the NXT. Breakker is also a physical specimen with a build similar to Lesnar. Both wrestlers rely on a power-based style and utilize an array of slams and suplexes to overwhelm their opponents.

A potential fight between the two powerhouses would be an exhilarating sight for the WWE fans. Although Lesnar holds a weight advantage over Breakker it would be interesting to see how Breakker fares against The Beast.

1. Brock Lesnar vs Gunther

Gunther is currently the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and is scheduled to fight WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes for the inaugural Crown Jewel Title.

As per reports, there were plans to match The Ring General against The Beast for a clash at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year. However, the fight didn’t materialize as Lesnar’s return was delayed. This has left a sour taste among WWE fans as they want to see the two stars fight.

A potential bout between Gunther and Lesnar has the potential to be an instant classic and might become one of Lesnar’s greatest fights in recent times.
