Top four potential opponents for Cody Rhodes at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024

Cody Rhodes is coming off a successful title defense against Logan Paul at WWE King & Queen of the Ring PLE.

WWE has been experiencing tremendous success with its recent Premium Live Events (PLEs) under the new management led by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The global juggernaut has produced stellar shows including WrestleMania 40, WWE Backlash France, and the recent King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The promotion now looks forward to its next major event, WWE Clash at the Castle, which is scheduled for June 15 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. With one World title match set in stone, the other champion from SmackDown, Cody Rhodes could be defending his title as well against a new contender. Here are the top four choices to get a shot at the Undisputed WWE championship at the next WWE PLE:

4. Andrade El Idolo

Andrade El Idolo made his return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble match to establish himself as a top star. With Andrade now a part of the SmackDown roster, he could get one of the biggest opportunities of his career to ascend to the next level by being named the next challenger to Cody Rhodes‘ title at WWE Clash at the Castle in Scotland.

Kevin Owens has been credited as a true workhorse of WWE for a long time. The former WWE Universal champion has not won a World title since 2016, although has contended for it on multiple occasions since then.

With a resume etched with multiple accolades and combined with his captivating presence and in-ring acumen, Kevin Owens can be a formidable opponent for Cody Rhodes at WWE’s next PLE.

Cody Rhodes became the Undisputed WWE champion by dethroning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Filled with revenge, a mean streak, and his new Bloodline members by his side, Solo would be an excellent choice to battle Cody Rhodes in Scotland.

One of the most underrated WWE superstars whose popularity skyrocketed with the onset of last year is LA Knight. Despite his YEAH movement felt every week on WWE television programming, LA Knight has yet to etch a major accolade to his resume. Therefore, WWE’s resident Megastar could put up a blockbuster encounter against Cody Rhodes with his Undisputed WWE championship on the line at WWE Clash at the Castle.
