WWE is all set for the two-night spectacle, SummerSlam, which will emanate on August 1 and 2 from the U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Premium Live Event features multiple top names and major title showdowns spread throughout Saturday and Sunday. However, a new report has hinted that another major name is in the city before the PLE, hinting at a potential return at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’
Kevin Owens is in Minneapolis amid return rumors
According to the latest update from Fightful Select, former World Champion Kevin Owens is in Minneapolis ahead of SummerSlam this weekend in the aforementioned city.
This update comes in the backdrop of a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which revealed that both Kevin Owens and Randy Orton are nearing their returns. The report also added that Orton could be back next week. Additionally, both will be positioned as fresh challengers for CM Punk and Cody Rhodes.
Orton has been absent from WWE programming since losing the Undisputed title match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 (Saturday). On the other hand, Owens has been absent from WWE programming since before WrestleMania 41, where he pulled out of a scheduled match with Orton due to a neck injury.
Notably, Owens’ last in-ring appearance came during the 2025 edition of the Elimination Chamber, when he defeated Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned match.

The 39th edition will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
