The former Women’s World Champion has been out of action since April.
Former Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, after losing the title to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42, was ambushed by Liv and her Judgment Day stablemates on the fallout show of Monday Night Raw.
The attack was used to write her off television as Vaquer was dealing with a legitimate second-degree sprain in the AC joint of her shoulder. Despite reports of her return during the European tour and events around Clash in Italy, Vaquer has remained absent from WWE television.
Now a report has revealed an update on La Primera’s return as WWE gears up for the 2026 edition of SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
Stephanie Vaquer will return around SummerSlam

In a new update during a Q&A session, WrestleVotes revealed that WWE is working on Stephanie Vaquer’s return. The report noted that Vaqeur will likely return around SummerSlam, the week before or at SummerSlam.
“Likely around SummerSlam, the week before, or at SummerSlam—in that range. The show could definitely use her. That women’s division on RAW is lacking without her. So, looking forward to getting her back around SummerSlam.”
The women’s division on Raw has indeed been lacking in her absence. The current Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan, who won the title after defeating Vaquer at Mania, is yet to defend her title. Initial reports suggested a rematch after Mania; however, Vaquer remained absent due to the injury.
Morgan is currently set to defend the Women’s World title for the first time against the winner of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament, Iyo Sky, at SummerSlam.
The 39th edition will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Vaquer’s return will likely set the stage for a potential rematch or even an alliance with Iyo against the Judgment Day. The return will also strengthen the women’s roster on the Red brand, which has been struggling with a lack of opponents in the World title scene.
