After slapping WWE star Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest, NFL legend Tom Brady once again sent ripples in the pro wrestling world as rumors of his WWE appearance once again started to pick up steam.
The initial feud between the two began in early 2026 when Brady appeared on Logan’s ‘Impaulsive‘ podcast. Strong rumors suggested Brady’s involvement at WrestleMania 42, but that never materialized.
Now, after slapping Paul at Fanatics Fest in NYC, Brady was once again spotted flipping off Paul during the World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina on Sunday.
Tom Brady is in talks with WWE
Amid all the speculation, a new report from TMZ Sports reveals that there are ongoing conversations between Brady and the WWE, which means there is a possibility of Brady appearing on WWE television.
That said, it is unclear if the 48-year-old star will be willing to step inside the squared circle or if he will appear in some other capacity.
Notably, Brady, during his appearance at Cody Rhodes’ live What Do You Wanna Talk About? Podcast at Fanatics Fest in New York, said that he has been waiting for WWE President Nick Khan to come up with a storyline for him, hinting at his eagerness to be involved in the mix.
“I need to get an invite. I mean, I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix.”
It remains to be seen what comes out of the discussions between WWE and the NFL legend, especially with SummerSlam 2026 just two weeks away. Whether WWE has any plans to feature him at the event remains to be seen.
Becky Lynch’s WWE return update
‘The Man’ Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE programming since the June 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, where she partook in the Queen Of The Ring 2026 First Round Fatal Four Way match. This was her first appearance since losing the Women’s IC title to Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy.
However, since the Raw appearance, Lynch has been absent from WWE programming; despite SummerSlam approaching, there has been no sign of her return to partake in a match at the PLE.
During a Q&A session on Monday, WrestleVotes provided an update on Lynch’s potential WWE return, revealing that Lynch will return after SummerSlam.
“She’s coming back after SummerSlam.”
This update makes it clear that there are no creative plans for Becky at SummerSlam, and she will return to programming after Summer’s Biggest Party, which is set as a two-night spectacle on August 1 and 2 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
