Top four potential storylines for AJ Styles heading into WWE WrestleMania 41

AJ Styles is one of the most regarded veterans in professional wrestling.

WWE is only a month away from reaching Las Vegas, Nevada, to present its premier show of the year, WrestleMania 41. The event will emanate from the Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20 and is expected to become a blockbuster hit, much like every year of the show.

While every WWE superstar is looking for a top spot in the WrestleMania card, a top name in the conversation is “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles. The Phenomenal has been regularly featured on WWE TV since returning at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE. Looking at recent events, here are the top four storylines for Styles heading into WrestleMania 41:

4. Battle a legend like him in a marquee match

Styles is regarded as one of the most accomplished veterans in the world of professional wrestling. The Phenomenal One’s resume and accolades call for him to occupy a marquee spot at WrestleMania 41. Therefore, it could come against another fellow legendary name.

Styles could have a top legend like Rey Mysterio or Sheamus battle him in a huge singles match, which would be a great addition to an already stacked WrestleMania 41 card.

3. Participate in a multi-man title match

For many years, WWE has featured multi-man matches for their championships at  WrestleMania. Heading into this year’s Show of Shows in Las Vegas, there have been reports of Bron Breakker defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship in a multi-man ladder match. Should that match take place, Styles would be an excellent addition to it, adding star power and experience alongside other top stars of Monday Night RAW.

2. One-on-one title match against Bron Breakker

After Styles made his return from injury at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble PLE, he was moved to Monday Night RAW. Upon his arrival on the red brand, the fans witnessed some altercations between Bron Breakker and Styles for a few weeks.

WWE could pick up this storyline back and book a top Intercontinental title match between them. This could be a huge push for the rising star, Breakker, to compete against a legend like Styles on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

1. A singles feud with Logan Paul

After initially teasing a feud with Bron Breakker, WWE shifted Styles into a feud with the internet sensation Logan Paul. The duo recently had an altercation on Monday Night RAW. Paul was in the middle of attacking popular comedian Andrew Schulz, and that is when Styles ran in to make the save. This could be a sign of a possible feud for AJ Styles heading into WrestleMania 41, battling a worldwide star like Logan Paul.
