The AAA Mega & IC Champion is now back from injury.
WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio made his return from a short hiatus after suffering an injury during a AAA event in December 2025. Dirty Dom also made his in-ring return on the February 16 edition of Raw in the Elimination Chamber qualifiers.
As WrestleMania 42 inches closer, WWE has started to build feuds and matches for the show. Dirty Dom, now being injury-free, will start to engage in segments with challengers to build towards a showdown at the ‘Grandest Stage.’
As the Road to WrestleMania continues, let us take a look at the top five stars who Dirty Dom can face at the ‘Grandest Stage’ in Las Vegas.
5. Logan Paul

‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul is one of the most polarizing stars in the WWE, and despite him being a heel, similar to Dirty Dom, the match would help him get over with the fans who have started to cheer for Mysterio despite his heel antics.
The match could also serve to plant the seeds for a faction feud between The Vision and The Judgment Day, a storyline dynamic that has been noticeably absent from programming in recent months.

4. Dragon Lee

Reports have suggested that WWE is currently very high on Dragon Lee, and this has been obvious when we take a look at his recent appearances, matches, and presentation. The promotion can push Lee to the next level and book him against Dominik with the IC title on the line.
A victory at the ‘Grandest Stage’ would elevate him into the upper echelon of the division and earn him his first singles title on the main roster.
3. Je’Von Evans

‘The Young OG’ Je’Von Evans has been creating waves with his high-flying skills inside the ring and has delivered multiple incredible performances since his main roster debut last month. Evans has been taking on established names and even on some occasions, winning on top as well.
He can try his luck and challenge Mysterio for the IC title at Mania, and a win would instantly boost his stock, making him one of the top names in just four months on the main roster.

2. Penta

Penta is one of the names on this list who shares a long-running feud with Dominik. The two have clashed multiple times, including Intercontinental Championship matches, with Dirty Dom retaining the title through outside interference and underhanded tactics.
After the initial push, the promotion has not booked Penta in any major feud or storyline, and they can change this by booking the two luchadores once again in Las Vegas.
1. Finn Balor

A match that was initially planned for last year’s Mania was between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor’s Demon gimmick. However, fans found out about the match only after the release of Unreal Season 2.
The constant tease of the rift between the Judgment Day members and the recent teases of Finn turning face might be used to set up the match between Dirty Dom and Finn this year. WWE can also bring back Balor’s ‘Demon’ gimmick as was the original plan for last year.
Fans have been demanding the same, and looking at the poor hype for Mania, such an announcement would definitely create buzz among fans.
