Top five bold predictions for WWE SmackDown (September 13, 2024)

The 9/13 WWE SmackDown is the return of the blue brand to the USA Network 

WWE is all set to host the September 13, 2024 from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, United States. This is the first episode of SmackDown to premiere on USA Network after almost five years. As the Season Premiere is set to kick-off, WWE has booked some of the interesting matches, segments and returns for this week’s show. Ahead of the SmackDown season premiere, here we take a look at the top five predictions for the show.

5. Triple H’s major announcement

Earlier this week on Raw, WWE officially announced that Raw will be moving back to the two-hour format from October 2024. Which kick started the rumors that SmackDown could turn into a three hours show. At this stage, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H could appear live on SmackDown premiere to announce that the blue brand (SmackDown) on USA Network will be a three-hour show.

4. Randy Orton to be Kevin Owens’ mystery partner

Kevin Owens is all set to face Austin Theory & Grayson Waller in a tag team match, however his tag team partner is unknown. As per predictions, Randy Orton will make his return as Owens’ mystery partner and they could go on to defeat Theory and Waller to make the statement.

3. Andrade defeats Carmelo Hayes

Andrade will be facing Carmelo Hayes in a singles match for the fifth time in a row. Both Andrade and Hayes have a 2-2 score win against each other and making this a rubber match. The winner will earn an opportunity to challenge LA Knight for the US title in the upcoming events. As per predictions, Andrade will be defeating Hayes to win the match and challenge Knight for the title.

2. Roman Reigns will screw Solo Sikoa

Cody Rhodes is all set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match. Triple H has officially announced that the match will be opening the season premiere. Since Roman Reigns is announced for the show, there is a huge chance that he will be interfering during the match. As per predictions, Roman could screw Solo Sikoa his Undisputed title match and help Cody to retain the title.

1. The Rock returns

The Rock went on a long hiatus after WrestleMania 40 for his Hollywood project ‘The Smashing Machine’ and the shoots got wrapped up earlier this year in August 2024. Following that the backstage rumors reveal that Rock could return too soon. At this stage, The People’s Champ could make his return this week on the Season Premiere. As the rumors, suggest a WarGames match between the Bloodline, Rock could confront Roman Reigns to set the foundation for the match.
