WWE SmackDown moves to the USA Network from this week onwards moving forward

Beginning this week, September 13, USA Network will become the official home of all things WWE for the remainder of 2024. It hasn’t happened since 2019—but it won’t stay long. Nevertheless, it all begins when WWE SmackDown returns to USA Network.

From that day until the end of 2024, USA Network will be the only home of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, leaving no other means to watch your favourite WWE Superstars. Cody Rhodes the undisputed WWE champion, will be available exclusively on USA Network beginning September 13.

The same applies to Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, Rhea Ripley, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Liv Morgan, and the list goes on.

Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship inside a Steel Cage on the season premiere episode of the USA Network, as announced on last night’s last SmackDown on FOX.

Here is the whole WWE SmackDown preview, match card and what to expect below.

WWE SmackDown confirmed match card & segments

  • Undisputed WWE Championship Steel Cage Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Solo Sikoa
  • Kevin Owens & a Mystery Partner vs A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller & Austin Theory)
  • Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade
  • Roman Reigns Returns

Undisputed WWE Championship Steel Cage Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Solo Sikoa

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion began last week’s SmackDown by reminding everyone of his victory over Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin. Sikoa interfered and demanded a rematch with Cody.

This occurred after Roman Reigns returned during their bout at SummerSlam, ensuring Cody’s victory. When The Bloodline began attacking the champion, The Street Profits and DIY stepped in to save him. Aldis then confirmed Cody vs Sikoa for the following edition of SmackDown.

Roman Reigns Returns

It was confirmed last week by WWE that Roman Reigns will be making his return at WWE SmackDown. We know what will happen if Solo Sikoa again gets a chance to get the championship, it will be Roman who will again cost Solo the chance to have his hand on the gold.

Kevin Owens & a Mystery Partner vs A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller & Austin Theory)

After beating A-Town Down Under in a triple threat, Kevin Owens will have to find a mystery partner to face the team in a tag match on the September 13 edition, which takes place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade

The series between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade will resume with another singles encounter. The tandem had a 2-2 record in their previous four singles clashes in recent months, with all of their battles taking place on the weekly episode of SmackDown.

According to recent developments, the victor of this rubber match between the two will be eligible for LA Knight’s United States Championship, however, no official announcement has been made.
