PWI Top 500 Full List: WWE Champion Cody Rhodes tops once again alongside AEW's Jon Moxley; Roman Reigns misses out

Cody Rhodes tops the list for a second consecutive year.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 34th annual PWI Top 500 list has been recently revealed. The list is a ranking of the 500 best wrestlers in the world. For the second time in a row, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has topped the list.

Rhodes became part of an exclusive group of wrestling icons by achieving the No. 1 spot for two consecutive years. Only three other wrestlers have accomplished this feat: Bret Hart (1993 and 1994), “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (1998 and 1999), and John Cena (2006 and 2007).

The top ten of the list contains four WWE names, four from AEW, and one each from New Japan and CMLL. Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has secured the second spot, while Gunther and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page have secured the third and fourth spots, respectively.

Notably, Jey Uso has made it into the top ten for the first time in his career. On the other hand, Roman Reigns was not included on the list, as the criteria used for evaluation did not qualify him for consideration.

The list is based entirely on kayfabe & takes the following factors into account:

• Overall wrestling ability
• Win–loss record
• Championships won
• Quality of competition
• Major feuds
• Prominence within a wrestler’s promotion(s)

Additionally, the evaluation period is from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.
