Randy Orton involves himself in a major match for WWE NXT on The CW premiere

WWE NXT is just two weeks away from the grand premiere on The CW Network, departing from the five-year-long run with the USA Network.

To make the CW Network debut special, WWE has booked a pay-per-view level of matches and the appearance of top stars. The Premiere will kick-start on October 1, 2024, and will continue for the next week on October 8, 2024.

Adding more spice to it CM Punk & Randy Orton are announced for the two-night event. As Punk is set to referee the Ethan Page vs Trick Williams match on October 1.

Randy Orton has officially made a big announcement about his WWE NXT debut against the youngest wrestler in the entire WWE roster.

Randy Orton challenges Je’Von Evans

On the September 17, 2024, episode of WWE NXT, Je’Von Evans teamed up with Cedric Alexander and defeated Myles Borne & Tavion Heights of No Quarter Catch Crew in a tag team match. After the match, when Evans and Alexander celebrated their win, the commentary panel announced that Randy Orton mentioned Je’Von Evans, where Randy Orton challenged Je’Von Evans for a singles match at St. Louis on October 8, 2024, on Night 2 of the WWE NXT premiere on The CW Network.

Randy Orton wrote, “Hey Je’Von – Want to know who your opponent is? See you in St. Louis on October 8th kid #WWENXT”

Je’Von Evans’ reply to Randy Orton

After Randy Orton challenged Evans for a singles match, the 20-year-old reacted to Orton’s challenge backstage. Evans said that he loves and respects Orton, but according to him he believes himself as the future legend and said that he will be coming for Orton to put him down.

Je’Von Evans said, “It’s crazy because, in my eyes, I’m a future legend. But I just know I ain’t getting killed, and that’s for damn sure. So Randy, all love, all respect. But sometimes, the legend gotta go down, and I’m the one that’s gonna put him down. Je’Von Evans, the Young OG, I’m coming for you.”
