WWE RAW Results, Highlights & Winners (March 18, 2024): Becky Lynch is the Last Woman Standing
#DIY, Awesome Truth & The New Day qualified, Becky Lynch assaulted Nia Jax, Gunther & Sami Zayn signed contract & much more!
The March 18, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it is one of the must see shows of recent times. WWE has booked and held some of the greatest segments and matches for the show including the tag team qualifying matches & last woman standing match. Get to know what happened on this week’s episode of Raw, as we came out with the complete match summary, highlights, results, grades and winner’s list of the show.
WWE Raw Summary & Highlights
Face off- Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso
Main Event Jey Uso kicks-off Monday Night Raw, he calls out Jimmy Uso. Jimmy came out with Solo Sikoa from the audience side and confronted him face to face. Jey says that he missed Jimmy & asks to come with him. Jimmy says that he never left and Jey left The Bloodline. He says that Jey went off to become a big star in Raw and Tag Team Champion without him & chose Cody Rhodes.
Jimmy says that the biggest moment of Jey’s career is because of him. Jey says no. His dream moment was at WrestleMania 40, when he beat Jimmy Uso. Jey attacked Jimmy and pushed Jimmy down. Jimmy superkicked Jey and took him control. Jimmy & Solo tried to assault Jey & Cody Rhodes saved him, but taking Jimmy Out and delivering a Cody Cutter to Solo.
Backstage- Adam Pearce & Paul Heyman
Adam Pearce on the phone yelling SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis for Jimmy & Solo on Raw. Paul Heyman comes to meet him. Heyman says that is not authorized from The Rock & Roman Reigns. Heyman told Solo & Jimmy to leave the arena & says that he will leave after his business is done. Heyman left calling Roman Reigns.
WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match- #DIY vs The Creed Brothers
Julius Creed & Tommaso Ciampa start the match, and both tackle each othera move. Julius locks Ciampa’s head and Gargano chopped hum on the chest. Julius looks for an ankle lock & Ciampa sneaked out.
Julius with a Fireman’s carry & tags Brutus and he hit another. Brutus is caught on the 2-on-1 attack by DIY. They took Brutus down with a clothesline & leg sweep. Took Creed Brothers out of the ring and flew over the top rope to outside the ring to hit a crossbody on them.
Julius and Ciampa tagged the other. Brutus hit a powerbomb on Ciampa and he took both down. Julius got tagged in and The Creed Brothers took Ciampa with a splash. The Creed Brothers took DIY to the standing vertical suplex and hit a standing moonsault.
They look for a Brutus Ball, but Gargano saves them. However The Creed Brotheds took Gargano with a double-slam and Brutus pushed Ciampa over the announcement desk.
After the commercial, Ciampa hit a reverse DDT on Julius and hot tags Gargano. He’s fired up and took both the Creed. Gargano hit a springboard spear on Julius, tags Gargano and hit a suicide dive on Brutus. Ciampa hit a white noise from the middle rope to Julius.
Ciampa chops Julius and both exchange hands. Ciampa with a big right hand and Julius took Ciampa into the Ankle lock. Gargano came to stop, but Julius hit a powerbomb him with a single hand. The Creed Brothers lock DIY with Ankle lock.
DIY countered with a Cicilian Stretch. They took Gargano out of the ring and hit back to back moonsault on Ciampa. They look for a Brutus ball and Ciampa rolls up. As they kept rolling, Gargano superkicked Julius and Ciampa made the roll up pinfall to qualify.
Backstage- Andrade & The Judgment Day
Judgment Day were talking to Andrade, introducing themselves as the most dominating faction in WWE. They looks for Andrade to impress them and join their stable. Priest addresses DIY’s win, JD’ loss last week and asked Dom to handle business tonight. Dom & JD went to meet Adam Pearce.
Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae vs Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
Carter and Candice start the match, however the other members tagged in. Chance and Indi fight each other, with Chace taking down Indi with a clothesline to the corner. Chance seems like she injured her leg and Indi stays away for referee to check. But Candice tags in, slide kicked Carter and locks Chance’s leg with a one leg Boston Crab for a submission win. Indi is shocked of Candice’ act.
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes & “The Wiseman” Paul Heyman
Cody says that in few weeks he will be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, two years in a row. Cody will have a face off with Roman Reigns at SmackDown, but he has a problem, that’s The Rock. He addresses Rock’s video on social media and his concert on SmackDown. He says that Rock is not a heel, but is an A***ole. He says that TKO is a big PR for Rock. They said yes for everything, but he gonna say something that they didn’t say.
Cody says that Rock spoke about Cody’s mom, now Cody will speak about Rock’s mom, but Cody says good thing about her. Seth looks to make Rock’s company great, but how could he put him down. He says that if Rock comes with the big Rock energy or with LDS (Little Di*k Syndrome). Cody says that Rock won’t be the final boss at WrestleMania, but Roman Reigns side chick.
Paul Heyman interfered and said that they are contast on their ideas. Heyman apologise for bringing his friends of NYPC, that’s over for him and the plan didn’t work. Heyman stays on the apron and he came with a message from Roman Reigns. He says that Roman Reigns is the man of his word.
Roman will go face to face with Cody on SmackDown and there will be no Bloodline members. If Cody shows up to SmackDown this week, Roman will be coming up alone. Heyman has another important point. If Roman shows up alone Cody also need to show up alone & he accepts with a handshake to Heyman.
Backstage- Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso
Jey Uso met Cody Rhodes backstage and appreciated him for the firey promo. He advices him not to go to SmackDown alone, but Cody says that he is. Jey says that if anything goes wrong, he got his back.
Ricochet vs “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio
Ricochet took Dominik in control and took him out of the ring. JD tried to advise him, but Ricochet delivered a cross body on him over the top rope. Ricochet took Dom in, JD pulls Ricochet legs, the distraction made Dom slide kick Ricochet out of the ring.
After the commercial, Dom takes control of the match by planting Ricochet fsce first to the ground. Dom goes for an Amego and Ricochet counters with a vertical suplex and a code breaker.
Dom looks for a roll up, Ricochet escaped and hit a roundhouse kick. Ricochet hits a superkick, took JD out. Dom put Ricochet to the ropes for a 619, but Ricochet escapes and hit a Recoil for the win. After the match, JD tried to attack Ricochet, but he escaped.
Backstage- Sami Zayn & Chad Gable
Sami Zayn met Chad Gable backstage and checks him, if he is fine. Gable is still upset, Sami thanked him for pulling out a great match, but Gable stops him. Gable says that it is more than a match for him. Sami claims that’s same for him & Gable left saying, “You can’t beat Gunther”.
Contract Signing- Gunther & Sami Zayn
Adam Pearce was on the ring and he introduces Sami Zayn & Gunther to the ring for the contract signing. Gunther takes the microphone in his hand and says that it is one of the biggest moment to sign the contract for the biggest match at WrestleMania and asks why Sami Zayn is dressed like this.
Zayn is aware that Gunther does this to piss him off. Sami claims that he ended the longest tag team championship reign and he will sure end the longest Intercontinental reign at WrestleMania. Sami signed the contract.
Gunther asked Sami to hear the advice of his new friend Chad Gable, as he didn’t believe that he could beat him and no one believes. He’s only here to get the beatings of his lifetime. Gunther walks, but Sami asks to wait. Sami asks Gunther to look in his eyes as he is the one to take his title away from him.
WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match- Awesome truth vs Indus Sher
R-Truth and Sanga kicks off the match. Truth is feared of Sanga and tags Miz in. Miz fighta, but Sanga took him down. VeerMahan got tagged in and he delivered an elbow drop. VeerMahan crushed Miz’s shoulder muscle and he escaoes to hot tag Truth.
Truth is fired up and he hits shoulder tackle and five-knuckle shuffle. He looks to take Veer for an Attitude Adjustment, but he can’t lift and turn it to an STF. Sanga tried to interfere and Miz takes him down. Miz and Truth hit a Skull Crushing Finale-Flatliner on Veer. Miz took Mahal and pulled Sanga’s head that hit, Truth and he falls on Veer and got the pin. The Awesome Truth qualified.
Backstage- Sami Zayn & Chad Gable
Sami Zayn met Chad Gable and asks why he said that he can’t beat Gunther. He says that, he saw him on the ring. It’s not about physical, but about mental. Gable says that until Sami is mentally prepared, he can’t beat Gunther. (Seems like Gable will be guiding Sami Zayn to beat Gunther)
Face off- Seth Rollins & Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre was making his way to the ring, before he walks half way through the ramp, Seth Rollins’ music played and he over took him to the ring. Seth Rollins apologizes to Drew and says that he didn’t see him on the spotlight. Seth says that one thing Drew said was true, that is Seth Rollins is a Spotlight Junkie.
Drew says that he is concentrated on their match. CM Punk chants took him and says that he will not show up unless it is his home town. Seth stops him and speak about the spotlight he crave was people singing his song.
Seth Rollins says that he will defeat the biggest Hollywood star and his side kick and make them his bitches. And on Night 2 he will defeat McIntyre and retain. Drew says that he doesn’t want this funky dress, his dance, but just him, what he done for 20 years. Drew says that he is not only deserved, he earned the spotlight. Seth says that the spotlight gonna be brighter at WrestleMania after he retains the title. Mic Drop and Rollins is gone.
WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match- The New Day vs Alpha Academy
Otis & Woods start off the match, Woods locks Otis’ head but Otis took him down with shoulder tackle and a series of stomach attack (Pat McAfee says that is Stomached). Tozawa & Kofi tagged in and both member of New Day tried to take Akira Tozawa, but he escapes, sent them out and hit a suicide dive on them.
After the commercial, Tozawa hit a step up enzigiri on Woods. Otis and kofi tagges in and Otis took Kofi with a back of the elbow and Woods with a Clothesline. Otis hit a powerslam and Caterpillar on Kofi. Tozawa tags in and he hit a super kick on Kofi. Wooda get tagged in and he hit a tornado DDT. Both went for the top rope, and Tozawa hit an Hurricanrana and a Senton from the tope rope. He goes for the cover and Kofi saves him.
Kofi hit a tornado DDT on Otis outside the ring. Tozawa hit a Trouble in Paradise on Kofi to send him out. Woods hit Tozawa with a Sitout Powerbomb and the Elbow Drop from the ropes to win the match.
Backstage- Seth Rollins & Cody Rhodes
Seth Rollins met Cody Rhodes and asked is he going to SmackDown alone & goes one on one, Cody says yes and he walks through.
Last Woman Standing Match- Becky Lynch vs Nia Jax
Becky Lynch drop kicks Nia Jax and took her down with a number of kicks. Becky slide kicks her. Nia took he over the shoulder, drew her through the ring post and the barricade. Nia Jax took her again. Becky breaks the count and went on to exchange hands with Jax.
Becky tries to put the table, but Jax took her to the ring and throws number of chairs to the ring. Becky dtrikes her and looks for a Manhandle slam on Jax, but she countered and hit a Samoan Drop over the chair. Becky bet the count and hit a Bull Dog on the steel chair.
Becky went for the top rope, but Jax hit her with the chair to the mid section and the back. Jaz swings the Kendo stick on her back, slams her over the chair and Leg dropped her. Becky breaks the count again and now Jax sat over her, Becky striked with the Kendo stick and sent her out.
Nia hit her with the steel stair and went to leg drop Becky on the apron, but Becky escaped. Jax is laid down with a DDT over the stairs and both beat the count at seven. Becky went to take the table. During the commercial, Nia Jax swung Lynch over rhe barricade. Lynch then sprayed the fire extinguisher on Nia’s face. Becky tried to put Nia on the tables, but Jax broke the table by a Samon Drop to Becky.
Jax hit an Annihilator and went for the count, but Becky rolled out to stand. Jax went to chase Becky and Samoan Drop her to another table from the apron, but Becky hit a Manhandle slam on Nia and both break the count at 9.
Jax was stumbling and she lands on announcement desk, where Becky hit a Leg Drop from top of the ladder and won the Last Woman Standing Match.
Face off- Rhea Ripley vs Becky Lynch
Rhea Ripley came to the ring to confront Becky. Both have a face off and yell each other to end this week’s Raw.
Raw Results
- Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso had face-off.
- DIY, Awesome Truth & The New Day qualify for the WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Championship Ladder Match.
- Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell defeated Katana Chance & Kayden Carter by submission.
- Cody Rhodes cuts a promo alone and agreed to Paul Heyman’s deal of coming to SmackDown alone.
- Ricochet defeated Dominik Mysterio by pinfall.
- Sami Zayn & Gunther signed the Intercontinental Championship contract.
- Seth Rollins & Drew McIntyre had a face-off.
- Becky Lynch defeated Nia Jax to win the Last Woman Standing Match.
- Becky Lynch & Rhea Ripley had a face-off.
