AJ Styles has not appeared on SmackDown for a few months now.

AJ Styles has been one of the most remarkable WWE superstars of the modern era and has been a part of the SmackDown roster for a long time. However, The Phenomenal One has not been seen on WWE TV since his loss to Cody Rhodes in an I Quit Match at WWE Clash at the Castle PLE.

With Styles possibly having done everything on SmackDown and needing a fresh direction for the remainder of his WWE contract, here are the top five reasons for AJ Styles to leave SmackDown:

5. New Feuds on RAW

AJ Styles has feuded with almost every top-tier WWE superstar on the SmackDown involved in high-profile feuds.

The Phenomenal One should leave SmackDown and head to Monday Night RAW for fresh competition and matches against the likes of Ilja Dragunov, Judgment Day, Finn Balor, and many other talented stars on the red brand.

4. Reunite with OC on NXT for new direction and help talent

A new direction for a veteran like AJ Styles could be to head to WWE’s developmental territory, NXT. Styles could reunite with his O.C. members, The Good Brothers and Michin, for another run while helping the next generation of talent develop and polish their skills with storylines involving AJ Styles.

While AJ Styles has been a former WWE tag team champion in the past, he has not truly explored his potential in the WWE tag team division. Styles could leave SmackDown to pursue a run in the RAW tag team division with younger talent for his fresh creative storyline while helping the upcoming star gain momentum aligned with a veteran like AJ Styles.

AJ Styles has won multiple championships in his eight-year-long WWE career. Gunther could further elevate his title reign by next having AJ Styles challenge for his title, which could be his drive to come to RAW following his failure to dethrone Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed title as part of SmackDown.
