Top five reasons why SmackDown has become unwatchable for WWE fans

WWE SmackDown has seemingly lost its aura in recent memory.
WWE SmackDown has been a prime television show alongside its other brand, Monday Night RAW, since 1999.
The show, famously named after The Rock’s iconic catchphrase, has gone through different eras throughout its years.
However, recently, WWE SmackDown has seemingly lost some of its aura on the road to WrestleMania 42, and here are five reasons for that:
5. Chaos in the Women’s tag team division

The WWE Women’s tag team division has been chaotic on SmackDown. Major top stars like Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss deserved better spots.
At the same time, a straightforward feud between the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and Hall of Famers, The Bella Twins, would have been a marquee match for WrestleMania 42 instead of a rumored multi-woman match.
4. Top names like Drew McIntyre pushed down the card

When Drew McIntyre was the Undisputed WWE Champion, SmackDown was touching record viewership for the blue brand.
Despite his hard work and dedication, he was dropped from the main event scene and pushed into a lackluster feud with Jacob Fatu, which sidelined him and drew heavy criticism from fans.
3. Sami Zayn’s lack of proper direction

For weeks, Sami Zayn was having random encounters with WWE superstars on SmackDown. Then, all of a sudden, he was booked to defeat Carmelo Hayes and become the new WWE United States Champion.
This showed a lack of proper direction and buildup for his current storyline with Trick Williams leading into WrestleMania 42.
2. 3 hours is too long
For an average WWE viewer, sitting through three hours of SmackDown has been seen as too long. This has been a perception among some fans due to the show’s lack of intriguing storylines and major star power compared to Monday Night RAW.
1. Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes’ rivalry is not living up to expectations

The top storyline on WWE SmackDown has been between storied allies, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. However, the program has seemingly slowed down after Orton turned heel.
The unnecessary inclusion of Matt Cardona and Jelly Roll, and Rhodes being absent for two weeks after a brutal assault, has seemingly made the feud lose its aura on the road to WrestleMania 42.
When and where will WrestleMania 42 take place?
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on Saturday, April 18 and 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
Who will be the main event at WrestleMania 42?
The match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns is widely expected to headline Night Two of the PLE, while Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is anticipated to close Night One. However, this remains speculation, as both matches have been confirmed as main events, but WWE has yet to officially announce which bout will headline each night.
