Many WWE rumors came this week

The world of pro wrestling is built on speculations, with fans always buzzing about the newest backstage rumors, prospective match-ups, and future plans for their favorite Superstars.

While rumors are sometimes filled with ambiguity, they keep the excitement going as we strive to discern reality from fiction. In today’s edition at KhelNow, we look at some of the most recent WWE rumors, including contract changes, prospective new changes, and the WrestleMania main event spots being planned.

Rhea Ripley to sign new WWE contract

According to PW Insider, WWE’s Nightmare, Rhea Ripley, has reportedly accepted to a hefty five-year contract extension. Ripley seemed to be establishing her position as one of the company’s top stars, with rumors of a significant pay boost.

The contract is in place but has yet to be inked. If Ripley signs the deal, expect her reign of terror over the women’s division to continue indefinitely.

Will WWE host the Call of Duty Championship series?

According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is now in talks with Microsoft about creating a Call of Duty championship series.

It’s unknown whether WWE Superstars will be participating, but this would be an unprecedented connection between the sports entertainment industry and one of the most popular video game series. The merging of these two entertainment behemoths might bring a whole new audience to WWE.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 could go to the UK or Canada

While the United Kingdom has been the favorite for hosting Elimination Chamber 2025, WrestleVotes has included Toronto as a viable candidate.

Following the success of Money in the Bank in London, WWE may be motivated to take another major event worldwide. However, given Canada’s rich pro wrestling heritage, Toronto is an equally fascinating location for this high-stakes event.

No heat backstage on Je’Von Evans for NXT RKO botch

Fightful Select claims that Je’Von Evans is not facing any consequences for botching the RKO during his NXT bout against Randy Orton.

Despite the setback, Orton spent time comforting Evans, demonstrating the Viper’s seasoned leadership and commercial acumen. The two practiced the segment beforehand, and Orton’s answer exemplifies the nurturing environment WWE seeks behind the scenes.

AJ Styles injury update

It appears that the injury worry involving AJ Styles on SmackDown was more than simply a plot. The Phenomenal One damaged his ankle during his encounter with Carmelo Hayes, forcing the contest to be interrupted.

Early rumors suggested it was part of the storyline, but Fightful Select confirmed Styles’ injury is real, putting his future appearances in peril.

WWE’s WrestleMania 41 main event plans

With WrestleMania 41 still several months away, WrestleVotes has fueled conjecture regarding the main event.

Following The Rock’s comeback at Bad Blood, WWE is said to be arranging a major triple-threat battle between The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes. While nothing is finalized, this blockbuster battle makes sense considering each man’s desire to seal their reputation on WWE’s biggest platform.
