Rhea Ripley will face a major challenge tomorrow night on WWE RAW when she steps into the ring with the rising star Roxanne Perez. The two women have crossed paths before, but their upcoming match will mark their first-ever encounter on the main roster, and the stakes are higher than ever.

Ripley, the 28-year-old powerhouse from Australia, has been one of the most dominant figures in WWE since her rise to prominence. At WrestleMania 41, she competed for the Women’s World Championship in a triple-threat match against Bianca Belair and IYO SKY.

Despite a stellar performance, Rhea Ripley came up short when IYO SKY retained the title after a Moonsault. However, Ripley’s resilience and hunger for gold have never been more apparent, and she is eager to regain her place at the top of the division.

Roxanne Perez, on the other hand, is quickly establishing herself as one of the brightest young stars in WWE. The 21-year-old is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion and has already proven her in-ring talent with incredible performances on NXT.

Her appearance on last week’s edition (April 21, 2025) of RAW, where she attacked NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer during her match against IYO SKY, hinted that Perez is not only ready to make a splash on the main roster but is also prepared to play the villain if necessary.

The two women first clashed in 2022 while they were still in NXT, where Perez managed to hold her own in a singles match. However, their past encounter did not have the same intensity and focus as their upcoming RAW battle, where both women are determined to prove themselves on the grand stage.

Ripley is coming off a difficult loss at WrestleMania and will be looking to assert her dominance once again. Perez, despite her age, has shown she is more than capable of taking on the best. Her attack on Vaquer suggests she’s ready to cross any line necessary to make her mark.

Ripley and Perez battled for the second time on the April 28, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw, where Rhea picked up the win via DQ after being attacked by Giulia during the match.
