Ricochet’s profile is moved to WWE Alumni roster earlier this week.

Ricochet is one of the greatest highflyer professional wrestlers of the modern era. He started his pro-wrestling career in 2003 and wrestled for a number of years in the Independent circuits all across the world and made his way to WWE in 2018. He made a brief stint in NXT and made his main roster the following year, making a huge impact. Furthermore, he is a four time champion in WWE, however his skills are quite not utilized, making him an underdog.

It was previously reported that Ricochet’s WWE Contract is nearing to end by this Summer, and reports noted that he is leaving the company upon contract expiry. Now a backstage report regarding his contract status and his next home has been revealed.

Ricochet will be All Elite soon

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Ricochet is now officially a free agent after his WWE contract expired on June 30, 2024 mid night. Following his contract release WWE moved him to the alumni roster in their official website. The reports reveal that the 35 year old was not contractually able to appear at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door, however it is expected that he could appear at AEW Dynamite this week if a deal was made.

Sources within WWE & AEW believe that Ricochet will be All Elite soon. However there are no current plans for the highly anticipated match between Will Ospreay & Ricochet at All in, despite rumors. Considering Ricochet’s fiance, Samantha Irwin, she will be staying in WWE.

Since Jeff Jarrett is set to face a Joker (Wild Card) contestant in the first round of the Owen Hart Cup Foundation Tournament, it is a possibility that Ricochet could be the Joke participant if he makes his AEW debut this week on Dynamite.

The 35 year old was last seen in WWE Television on the 6/10 episode of Monday Night Raw, where he got brutally assaulted by Bron Breakker in the parking area and was sent in an ambulance for medical attention. He was not seen then and was written off from his creative after he requested his WWE release.
