Should ‘Main Event’ win the WWE Championship?
Since departing the Bloodline last summer, Jey Uso has established himself as a successful and popular singles star on WWE’s “Raw” roster.
He has also been unable to secure his first singles title reign, falling short in challenges for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Those troubles continued at Money in the Bank, when he was unable to seize the briefcase.
Jey Uso has been a force to be reckoned with since he began his WWE singles career after betraying his family. After failing to stand out in front of Roman Reigns in a grudge match, Jimmy Uso’s treachery pushed him to join the red brand.
Jey Uso has since delivered excellent performances in high-stakes matchups against Gunther, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Ilja Dragunov, and other competitors.
He rapidly established a reputation for himself in the world of wrestling. The uncontrolled YEET chants he receives whenever he enters the ring demonstrate his dominance over WWE fans across the world. Despite his impressive run, WWE has yet to give him a championship shot, which has irritated both his fans and his father, Hall of Famer Rikishi.
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi urges to WWE universe to take a stand for Jey Uso
Jey Uso defeated his brother Jimmy Uso decisively at WrestleMania 40, paving the way for a successful career. Next, he had a championship opportunity at Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship, but it did not work out. At WWE Backlash in France, fans embraced him enthusiastically, providing him with a memorable occasion. Legends and corporate insiders alike, notably Booker T, couldn’t get enough of his momentum and advocated for him to win the title.
However, WWE ignored the collaborative approach and snubbed him at Money in the Bank 2024. The conclusion disappointed certain members of the wrestling community, including Father Rikishi, who expressed his displeasure in a Fightful Select interview.
Echoing that, the 58-year-old veteran resorted to Twitter once more to seek justice for his young twin. The Samoan wrote, “MAIN EVENT STATUS #YeetMan Where’s the title shot??? #stopplayin
While it appears like WWE is undermining Uso’s potential, they may be doing so for a greater cause. To elaborate, WWE may keep back the YEET guy for an intriguing Bloodline inclusion by not giving him his flower at MITB 2024. With the prevalent assumption that Roman Reigns would return to the WWE by SummerSlam and declare a civil war against Bloodline 2.0, an alliance with Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso makes the most sense.
