Could we see RVD make his WWE return?
Rob Van Dam has detailed the circumstances around his prospective WWE comeback. This will offer fans and supporters something to ponder about.
The WWE Hall of Famer makes one-time appearances in AEW, the last of which occurred in April. Since then, he has been gone from the ring but remains in close contact with his supporters via social media.
In one of those conversations with his fans, Rob Van Dam disclosed the one condition that may spur his return to WWE. In response, he made a clever remark to his younger self.
In response to a fan’s question about having another run in the WWE, RVD pondered if the opportunity would come with more money or the chance to realize his 18-year-old self’s goals.
“Would the chance come with pay, or just the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of 18 year old me?”
It would be fascinating to see whether he makes a reappearance or if this was only a tease.
Rob Van Dam wants to have a match against John Cena
In ECW, Rob Van Dam and John Cena competed in one of wrestling history’s most legendary matches. That was the match in which he defeated Cena to win the WWE Championship.
He has now stated that he plans to take on the job of Cenation leader as part of his retirement tour, which will take place next year. In his One of a Kind podcast, RVD stated:
“I hope they bring me in for a rematch with Cena. That would be super cool. I don’t know if they know, but I know I could have that same match. Absolutely.”
Seeing the two veterans face up again in WWE would be fantastic for everyone involved. Van Dam, despite his age, will be able to compete with Cena in a match.
