Roman Reigns' all-time record at WWE Money in the Bank PLE
Roman Reigns has been a part of some of the most remarkable bouts at WWE Money in the Bank.
Roman Reigns is, perhaps, one of the greatest WWE superstars of the modern era and, some would say, of all time. The Tribal Chief’s ascend to the top of the mountain is marked by some memorable matches and moments that took place at the WWE Money in the Bank.
With one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year back this week for another edition, here is a look back at the history of Roman Reigns with the WWE Money in the Bank event.
Money in the Bank 2013
Roman Reigns made his first appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event in 2013 as part of the pre-show. He teamed up with his Shield brother, Seth Rollins, who were the reigning WWE tag team champions at the time and defended their titles against Reigns’ cousins, The Usos. A valiant effort by the Shield members saw them put down Jimmy and Jey for the win to retain their titles.
Money in the Bank 2015
The Tribal Chief’s second appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event came in 2015 when he was part of the name-sake ladder match. During the final moments, as Roman Reigns was inches away from unhooking the briefcase, Bray Wyatt interfered, costing him the opportunity, which led to Sheamus grabbing the briefcase and winning the match.

Money in the Bank 2016
One of the most historic Money in the Bank shows had to be the 2016 edition, which saw all three members of The Shield hold the WWE championship. Roman Reigns walked into the event as champion, defending his title against Seth Rollins, who pinned him to claim the title. But right after, it was Dean Ambrose who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract he won earlier in the night to slither the title away from The Architect.
Money in the Bank 2018
Unlike his previous matches, Roman Reigns had a lackluster bout at the WWE Money in the Bank 2018 against The Modern Day Maharaja Jinder Mahal. However, Reigns still ended up in the winning column as he landed a thunderous spear on Jinder Mahal to clinch the victory.
Money in the Bank 2019
Roman Reigns was scheduled to battle Elias at the Money in the Bank 2019. A match between two emerging stars on the roster saw Reigns follow up last year with another win at the event against the man who wanted everyone to Walk With Elias.

Money in the Bank 2021
Roman Reigns walked into the Money in the Bank 2021 event as the dominant WWE Universal Champion, and his opponent was none other than The Rated-R Superstar Edge. A hard-fought match between the two top competitors saw Reigns retain his title with a timely distraction by Seth Rollins. However, his victory was upstaged with the return of The Face that Runs The Place, John Cena.
Money in the Bank 2023
One of the most highly anticipated matches took place at the 2023 Money in the Bank, billed as The Bloodline Civil War. It pitted Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa against The Usos, Jimmy and Jey. A hard-fought back-and-forth battle ended with Jey landing the Uso Splash on Reigns and becoming the first man to pin The Tribal Chief in nearly three years, clinching the win for his team.
