Roman Reigns has barely featured on the Red Brand in recent years
Roman Reigns is gearing up to make his return to in-ring action on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, after over five years. The OTC is set to battle his arch-nemesis, Solo Sikoa, in a Tribal Combat. The match is set to take place at RAW’s debut show on Netflix, taking place at the Intruit Dome, in Los Angeles.
With ‘The Head of the Table’ ready to return to RAW to reclaim the sacred Ula-Fala from Solo, here is a look back at Roman Reigns’ top seven best WWE RAW matches of all time:
7. Six-man-tag team match
The last time the WWE Universe saw Roman Reigns compete on Monday Night RAW was in July 2022. He teamed up with his cousins, The Usos, as part of The Bloodline. They competed against Matt Riddle and The Street Profits in a six-man tag team match. Reigns’ last showing on the red brand ended in victory when he laid out Riddle with a spear to win the match for his team.
6. The Almighty Opponent
Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley collided in a dream match with the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal title at SummerSlam 2017. The clash of these two titans was a spectacular showdown, but it was Reigns who used his spear against Lashley’s to pin him for the three count to win the title opportunity.

5. Triple threat SummerSlam precursor
After the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2017 was changed to a Fatal 4-Way match, WWE decided to give a preview on RAW by putting Universal Champion Brock Lesnar’s opponents against each other. This saw Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns collide in a triple-threat match. The bout captivated the audience on RAW and saw Reigns pinning Joe to head into SummerSlam with huge momentum.
4. Last Man Standing match
Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman have competed against each other on multiple occasions. One match also took place in 2017 on RAW with the stipulation of Last Man Standing, heading into SummerSlam.
The match was a gruesome sight of physical beatdowns and the use of foreign objects by both men. In the end, Samoa Joe appeared and took down both men. But Strowman managed to get up on his feet before the count of 10 and won the match in the process.

3. WWE Intercontinental title victory
The last piece of Roman Reigns Grand Slam Championship came in November 2017 when he battled The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental title. The Awesome One did everything to protect his title reign, including using his lackeys, The Miztourage. But that did not stop Reigns from dethroning him and winning the workhorse title for the first time in his career.
2. Teaming with John Cena
Heading into their highly anticipated match at WWE No Mercy 2018, Roman Reigns teamed up with his rival, John Cena, to face Samoa Joe and The Miz. The cracks were evident in their team, but despite that, Cena and Reigns managed to co-exist and defeated their foes to pick up the win.
1. WWE Championship win
The biggest match for Roman Reigns on Monday Night RAW came in 2015 against WWE Champion Sheamus. Moreover, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon stipulated that if Reigns lost, he would be fired. Despite the high stakes, multiple interferences, and odds against him, Reigns took down the Celtic Warrior and secured the pinfall to win his second WWE title, earning one of the loudest pop as a babyface.
