‘The OTC’ will soon make his return to WWE TV
Details surrounding Roman Reigns’ appearances leading up to WWE WrestleMania 41 have now been confirmed, with two major SmackDown appearances set for March.
With Roman Reigns not scheduled to compete at WWE Elimination Chamber on March 1, speculation has been rampant regarding his return and his potential match at WrestleMania 41. However, WWE has now officially confirmed that Reigns will appear on two international episodes of SmackDown in March.
The announcement was made via WWE’s official Twitter account, revealing that Reigns will be present at SmackDown in Bologna, Italy, on Friday, March 21, and in London, England, on Friday, March 28.
“BREAKING: #OTC @WWERomanReigns will be LIVE on #SmackDown from Bologna, Italy, on Friday, March 21 and London, England on Friday, March 28! ☝️”
The March 28 episode of SmackDown will be particularly significant as it marks Reigns’ first televised appearance in London since WWE’s Money in the Bank event on July 1, 2023. At that event, The Usos defeated The Bloodline, which was represented by Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
As for the March 21 event in Bologna, this will be Roman Reigns’ first time back in the Italian city since May 2017. During that house show, he faced Braun Strowman in a brutal Street Fight and emerged victorious.
Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE television since the Royal Rumble in January, where he was taken out by Seth Rollins, who delivered a Stomp on the steel steps. Since then, speculation has surrounded his WrestleMania 41 status. While Reigns has yet to be officially announced for the event, reports suggest that WWE has plans in place for his involvement.
With these upcoming SmackDown appearances, fans can expect more clarity on Reigns’ role at WrestleMania 41 as the event draws closer. Tickets for both shows are still available, and given Reigns’ star power, these episodes promise to be must-watch events for WWE fans worldwide.
