Roman Reigns has a strong record against Sami Zayn.
There is an interesting history between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn since they were in the same faction, The Bloodline, after which they became enemies and later partners again. Zayn was called Honorary Uce in the Bloodline and helped Reigns’ dominant faction until they fell out early in 2023. The rivalry saw an incredible moment where Zayn betrayed Reigns.
The two former allies are scheduled to meet at the November 2026 PLE, where the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship is up for grabs. Reigns goes into the fight as the current World Heavyweight Champion, while Zayn goes in as the Undisputed WWE Champion on SmackDown.

Prior to the fight, the two have been earning massive praise and retaining the respective titles for some time. While Reigns maintained an unbeaten record throughout 2026, Zayn suffered some unexpected losses, albeit not in title matches but tag team matches. Nonetheless, he retained the title even after Money in the Bank 2026 PLE.
It will be their third fight on TV and eighth overall match, including non-televised live events. The historical record favors The OTC.

‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns and Zayn have faced each other seven times (only two telecasted matches) in singles competition, including televised matches, Premium Live Events, and non-televised live events. Reigns has won all seven encounters, maintaining a perfect record against the former Honorary Uce.
Reigns and Zayn wrestled in their first singles match against each other in a Live event held in Quezon City, Philippines, on September 20, 2019. Roman won that match and then beat Sami in their second and third singles matches. The latter occurred in Shanghai, China, and Honolulu, Hawaii, on the following two days.
The first televised singles match between the two men happened on the December 3, 2021, edition of SmackDown. Zayn earned the right to have a match for the Universal Championship; however, before the contest started, Brock Lesnar assaulted him. Once the bell rang, Reigns immediately speared Zayn and forced him to tap out of the Guillotine Choke. The match took around 15 seconds.
In their next important singles match, Zayn fought Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber 2023 in Montreal, which is his hometown. Although he received incredible support from the crowd, Zayn failed to beat the champion and lost the match due to The Bloodline interfering. While he lost both his televised matches against Reigns, the star received much praise for his second match.
Reigns subsequently defeated Zayn at two more non-televised live events, in Toronto on March 4, 2023, and Kansas City on October 14, 2023. Those victories extended his singles winning streak against Zayn to seven in all competitions.
