Roman Reigns is expected to return around SummerSlam since his last appearance.
Roman Reigns has cemented himself as the flagship WWE star of this generation. However, since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, The Tribal Chief has not been seen on WWE television programming. But in a recent update by PWInsider, Reigns is expected to return around SummerSlam.
With the potential return of The Head of the Table on the horizon, here are the top five picks to battle Roman Reigns at The Biggest Party of the Summer, WWE SummerSlam:
5. Randy Orton
Randy Orton has been at the peak of his WWE career, even after competing in the ring for over two decades. While The Viper and Reigns have battled in the past, Orton is yet to step up against the dominant Tribal Chief version in a one-on-one bout. With Reigns potentially making his comeback soon, a blockbuster showdown between Randy Orton and Roman Reigns could be an enthralling showdown for the fans in Cleveland, Ohio.
4. Kevin Owens
Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens have a heated history, battling each other in high-stakes World Championship matches that have entertained the fans each time. The Biggest Party of the Summer could see Reigns make his return in a match against Kevin Owens, who has been actively trying to take down his Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa at the moment.
3. Jacob Fatu
Jacob Fatu has proved himself to be a dangerous right from the moment he first appeared on SmackDown a few weeks ago and joined Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline as his Enforcer. With Sikoa slated to battle Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, he could unleash Jacob Fatu to deal with Roman Reigns upon his return, setting the stage for a match between The Samoan Werewolf and The “OG” Tribal Chief.
2. Jey Uso
As much as the WWE Universe has been enthralled seeing Roman Reigns and Jey Uso stand side by side with each other, they have been even more excited with their heated feud. Moreover, Reigns’ potential return could happen on RAW this time, where Uso has become a top-tier attraction, and the Samoan cousins could be scheduled for a SummerSlam rematch from last year, with Jey looking for a different outcome this time.
1. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins played a significant role in Roman Reigns losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 bringing the end of his 1,316 day-reign as champion. Reigns might have surely not forgotten this and could possibly return at SummerSlam, where Rollins, who is without an opponent at the moment, could face Reigns in one of the biggest showdowns in the history of the Big Four PLE.
