Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes recently aligned to tackle the Bloodline!

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are one of the better rivals in recent years. Both Roman and Cody have a two year long rivalry, where Cody had his pursuit for the Undisputed WWE title and finally captured it at WrestleMania 40 on his second attempt. Despite being better rivals, they are set to team up with each other and take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of the new Bloodline in a tag team match.

Although both are set to team up, the backstage reports reveal that the company is setting the stage for Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns 3.0 pretty soon. Here is the detailed view of the WWE backstage rumor and what it says.

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes 3.0?

Dave Meltzer while speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Roman Reigns is likely to work for the Saudi Arabia show, Crown Jewel on November 2, 2024. He said that when WWE got him working for the Bad Blood, he is also set to work for this year’s Survivor Series PLE in Vancouver on November 30, 2024, as Roman is advertised for the PLE.

Dave Meltzer said, “Roman is probably working the Saudi Arabia show. They got him working in Atlanta and he’s definitely working the Survivor Series show, they got him advertised for that.”

Meltzer continued saying that Roman featuring in Crown Jewel PLE could set the stage for the third match between Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes. He believes that the Roman vs Cody match is still a giant match although it is not WrestleMania.

Meltzer continued, “A Roman Reigns – Cody Rhodes match is still a giant match, although it’s not a WrestleMania match.”

Meltzer believes that WWE wanted Roman to be Bruno Sammartino and Cody as Bob Buckland. He said that they might team up, but the potential match is still worth it.

Meltzer concluded saying, “I got the sense that they want Roman Reigns to be Bruno [Sammartino]. You don’t really put Bruno against [Bob] Backlund if Cody is the Backlund. They might be allies, but a Cody/Roman match is worth a lot”.
