Perez and Rodriguez are set to defend the titles against the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at ‘the biggest party of the summer’, SummerSlam, next month. While the high-profile matches, PLE appearances, and title runs have transformed Perez into a superstar, the same has also caused problems for the Prodigy.

Perez has had to bear the unfortunate dark side of online hate that comes with stardom. The Prodigy received a disturbing series of online threats, which caused WWE to heighten security measures for Perez. The Prodigy has now addressed the threats in a recent interview.

During a recent interview with San Antonio Express-News, Perez was asked about the threats and the preventive measures she now has to take as a celebrity.

Replying to the question, Perez stated that while she had heard similar stories, she never expected it to happen so soon in her career. She also emphasized the importance of being cautious with online posts due to their potential impact.

The Prodigy lauded WWE, stating that the promotion does a great job in protecting them, regardless of the threats online. Perez also noted that WWE has the best security in the world which makes her feel safe and reassured.

“I always heard about these stories but I never really expected them to happen, especially so soon. The situations like that can be very scary and I think that people should take these things seriously and I think that people should be very careful with what they post online because you don’t know how it can affect other people…

WWE does a great job at protecting us and regardless of whatever’s posted online or whatever threats happened online, WWE has the best security in the world. So, yeah, I feel very safe with the WWE.”
