WWE has its fair share of some of the shortest matches to take place inside the ring.

WWE came to prominence for its larger-than-life personalities battling it out inside the squared circle for years. It has captivated the audience like no other athlete in the world. However, not all of those in-ring showdowns were long. Some even got over in the blink of an eye.

With WWE having its fair share of matches that ended minutes or even seconds after they started, here are the five shortest matches in WWE history:

5. Trish Stratus vs Nidia – 3.8 seconds

Trish Stratus was the reigning WWE Women’s Champion in 2004. Back then upcoming star Nidia, who was also Jamie Noble’s girlfriend, won the right to challenge her for the title. Nidia had won a triple-threat Contract on the Pole match in July 2004 on RAW.

However, right after that contract match, Trish Stratus attacked Nidia. She demanded the referee to begin their title match right away. It left Nidia losing the match in 3.8 seconds.

4. The Rock vs Big Boss Man – 3.5 seconds

At the 1998 WWE Survivor Series event, a tournament took place for the WWE Championship. One of those bouts was pitting The Final Boss, The Rock, against Big Boss Man. The Rock made quick work of him using a roll-up to secure pinfall in 3.5 seconds. He even went on to win the entire tournament as well.

3. Aliyah vs Natalya – 3.17 seconds

On the January 14, 2022, edition of Friday Night SmackDown, rookie star Aliyah was scheduled to battle WWE veteran Natalya in a one-on-one match. However, right after the bell rang, Aliyah rolled up Natalya to steal the win in just 3.17 seconds. The former etched her place in history for one of the shortest matches in the history of the Stamford-based company.

2. Spike Dudley vs William Regal – 2 seconds

Spike Dudley made history by capturing the WWE European Championship from William Regal in 2002 on RAW. The young superstar used William’s own brass knuckles to knock him down. It helped Spike secure the victory in 2 seconds, shocking the entire audience and millions watching at home.

1. Jerry Lawler & Chris Jericho vs Tazz & Mideon – 1.8 seconds

Jerry Lawler and Chris Jericho were scheduled to battle Tazz and “Naked” Mideon in a tag team match on WWE RAW in September 2000. However, as Mideon made his entrance in an exposed state, which served as a major distraction, The King rolled up Tazz for the win. That match in a record 1.8 seconds.
