Here are some signs that Cody Rhodes could turn heel against Roman Reigns!

On the September 13, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match.

After retaining said that he was done with Solo. However, the Bloodline attacked Cody to assault him until Roman Reigns made his return and joined the brawl.

Cody and Roman took the Bloodline out. After the brawl, Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu met Nick Aldis asking for a match with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match at Bad Blood.

However both Cody and Roman regretted teaming up against each other. However, after the blind attack from Bloodline in the final moments of SmackDown, both agreed to team up with each other signing the contract.

Although both signed the contract agreeing to share the same page, the signs indicate that Cody could turn heel.

3. Fans turning on Cody Rhodes

During the final moments of SmackDown, Cody confronted Roman Reigns, where the usual Cody Rhodes chant was overshadowed by the OTC chants.

Cody addressed Roman’s claim that is his show and his WWE, and said that it was until WrestleMania, for which WWE fans booed him down.

It was the first time Cody got a boo from the WWE universe since his return. It seems like the fans could turn on Cody and force him to turn heel.

2. To get rid of The Bloodline

Cody Rhodes has been trying to end his rivalry with The Bloodline and they kept coming for him. At this stage, the only option that Cody has to get rid of the Bloodline is to give what they want, by turning heel.

Although Cody agrees to work with Romanat Bad Blood, Cody turns against Roman and leaves him alone to Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline will finally end the rivalry with Bloodline.

He is the only odd one in the family business and Cody on the backstage segment with Aldis says that it is Roman’s problem and not his.

1. Fear of Roman Reigns taking his spotlight

Cody Rhodes has been carrying the company on his shoulder since WrestleMania 40 on Roman’s hiatus. He built his territory and legacy, which made him a unique champion in the company.

However, Roman’s return is seemingly spoiling his spotlight. There could not be two top babyfaces in the company and the ego clash could turn Cody a heel.
