‘The People’s Champion’ was last in action during WrestleMania 40 Night 1

The Rock’s jaw-dropping return at the end of the Bad Blood PLE has turned the tables on their heads. His comeback could have long-term ramifications for both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

However, the exact motivations behind The Final Boss’ surprising return are yet to be identified. Still, there are talks of him competing at the next month’s Survivor Series PLE. Here, we take a look at the top five signs The Rock could wrestle at WWE Survivor Series 2024.

5. His blockbuster return at the Bad Blood PLE

The Rock had not been a fixture on WWE programming since the Monday Night RAW edition after WrestleMania XL PLE in April. His shock return at the end of the Bad Blood event in Atalanta has filled the fans’ hearts with excitement.

The Great One’s colossal comeback last Sunday does imply that he would be joining the Bloodline Civil War shortly. Just from which side is a question that needs answering, and it could be answered if the Black Adam actor competes at the Survivor Series PLE next month.

4. The Rock’s mysterious hand gestures

The Rock did not just enter the State Farm Arena last Sunday; he made some mysterious hand signs toward Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso, who were all standing in the squared circle at the time.

Just what the Brahma Bull’s odd gestures mean could only be told by the WWE legend. But if the fans put two and two together, they’ll figure out The Rock’s participation is almost a certainty at the upcoming Survivor Series PLE.

3. The Great One doesn’t appear to be pleased by Roman Reigns

The last time when The Rock left weekly WWE programming to focus on his Hollywood commitments, Cody Rhodes was a sworn enemy of Roman Reigns.

So much so that The Tribal Chief rubbed on some of that hate onto his famous cousin. Hence, the 10-time world champion didn’t appear to be pleased by the unexpected alliance of Reigns and Rhodes.

Just on this pure hatred toward the American Nightmare, The Rock could compete against The Head of The Table’s re-assembled original Bloodline members.

Given that Survivor Series is just around the corner and a WarGames match between the two versions of the familial stable looking ever so likely, the wrestler-turned-actor’s appearance so close to it could mean his participation in the special event next month is just a formality.

2. The Rock could be behind Solo Sikoa’s hijacking of The Bloodline

Why did Solo Sikoa‘s coup on The Bloodline group begin after WrestleMania XL? Is it because of Roman Reigns’ absence?

Or because The Rock was the mastermind behind it all? If so, the former Nation of Domination member could lead the new version of the Bloodline in a battle against the original members at next month’s Survivor Series PLE.

Hence giving us all a sign that The Rock could be competing on the monumental night in November.

1. Survivor Series is among the top four PLEs for WWE

Under the recent regime of Triple H, WWE has made a conscious effort on their part to ensure that something big happens in each of their four top PLEs of the year.

The fans have already seen the return of CM Punk to in-ring action in this year’s Royal Rumble PLE, The Rock competing at WrestleMania XL and Roman Reigns’ epic return at the SummerSlam event in August.

With one last special night remaining, the Stamford-based promotion would surely be tempted to raise the stakes at the upcoming Survivor Series. What better way to up the ante than making The Rock compete in the major PLE?

What does Hunter have in mind with regard to this triangle of hate forming between The Rock, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes? Well, the endgame for this storyline seems far away. But the short-term payoff for this saga seems like the Red Notice actor competing at the 2024 Survivor Series PLE.
