The Bloodline 2.0 took out Roman Reigns last week
WWE may have planted a significant seed leading to a potential betrayal between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu on this week’s SmackDown. Solo Sikoa, acting as the head of The Bloodline, made a surprising decision to strip Jacob Fatu of his tag team title and hand it over to Tonga Loa.
Fatu was then appointed as Sikoa’s special enforcer, a role that appeared to be more of a demotion than a promotion.
While Fatu seemed unbothered by the decision, fans couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to his reaction beneath the surface.
Jacob Fatu’s loyalty in question
Despite showing no visible signs of tension, the decision to remove Fatu from his position as a tag team champion could be a slow-burning catalyst for internal conflict. Fatu, who has been instrumental in The Bloodline’s dominance, might question his loyalty as more decisions like this accumulate.
Solo Sikoa’s move was portrayed as a strategic shift to strengthen their faction, but Fatu could perceive it as a slight, particularly given his considerable contributions. On Friday’s SmackDown, Fatu appeared to accept his new role without complaint, maintaining peace within the faction. However, being forced to repeatedly save the titles for Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga without personal reward may lead to lingering resentment.
His role as a special enforcer, while seemingly loyal on the surface, maybe a temporary phase before a larger storyline unfolds.
Dominance Inside the Ring
While WWE continues to drop hints of a brewing conflict outside the ring, The Bloodline remained dominant inside it. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defended their tag team titles against The Street Profits, with Fatu and Sikoa providing interference to ensure a win.
The post-match events saw The Bloodline delivering a brutal assault on The Street Profits and DIY, showcasing their continued dominance in the SmackDown tag team division.
Despite being in a walking boot due to injury, Fatu remains a crucial part of The Bloodline’s success. However, the questionable leadership decisions by Sikoa could eventually lead to cracks in the faction’s unity.
While Fatu currently plays the role of a loyal soldier, this storyline could be the beginning of a deeper, long-term narrative leading to a possible betrayal or a shift in allegiance.Time will tell if Fatu remains loyal to Sikoa and The Bloodline or if this move is the start of a new direction in WWE’s creative storytelling.
