‘Mami’ suffered a broken orbital bone last month
The former WWE Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley made her surprising return on Monday Night Raw during the pre-taping of the 11/18 episode in Michigan.
Following the 11/11 show of the Red brand the Stamford-based promotion stuck around at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and pre-taped the next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
During the pre-taping, the Michigan fans were treated with a huge surprise as Ripley made her return to the ring and confronted WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
Ripley was out of action due to a recent injury following an attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on last month’s episode of WWE NXT. She was ambushed and left bleeding in the parking lot by Morgan and her enforcer, Raquel Rodriguez. As a result of the attack, Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket.

Rhea Ripley was wearing a protective face mask due to the injury
In her return, Ripley assaulted the reigning WWE Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan who was the reason behind her injury as mentioned above.
The attack triggered a chaotic multi-woman brawl that involved Ripley, Morgan, Raquel, Jade Cargill, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Candice LeRae.
In the end, Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and IYO SKY emerged victorious after clashing with Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax.
Ripley was rocking a new look in her return as she wore a protective face mask similar to what WWE legend Trish Stratus used to wear. Stratus’ use of the mask became iconic among WWE fans.
The look was also once adorned by the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes after an injury to his face during his match against Rey Mysterio in 2011.
Although Ripley returned to action pretty soon than expected and now looks set to be a part of the Women’s War Games match at WWE Survivor Series 2024.
